Difficulty Level: Easy to put together, but the cooking process was quite the workout! While on the stove you have to stir it continuously, non-stop, or else you won't get the right consistancy. It was tiring, but the product tastes really good, so it's definitely worth it!
1 cup of flour, 2 cups of water, a pinch of salt, and olive oil.
Put the flour, half of the water, and the salt into a pot. Place it on the stove at medium heat.
Mix it until it starts to thicken and it should turn into a doughy ball.
Once it forms into a ball, add in a little more water and open it out. Keep mixing it and adding in the water every time it starts to thicken.
Repeat the process until you add in all of the water. At this point your assida should look something like the last picture I have above.
Once it looks right, take it off the heat. Put a little bit of olive oil on a plate, and place your assida on top of it.
And it's done! I like to eat it with a little bit of sugar, some people like to put some bsissa on their assida, it's really up to you... Enjoy!
