The Great Debate: Ass or Tits
This question pisses me off so much. and what pisses me off more is when people become to baffled when I get annoyed about this great debate topic being broached. I thought most of the people I know had gotten to the point where this question was no longer a conversation point and that they realized the greater detrimental parts of that mindset. However, last night someone brought it up. And I couldn't stop myself from explaining why it was irrelevant and how questions like that damage our society. Because first there's something people have to realize; ass and tits aren't sexual. They were MADE sexual by society. Breasts are not a sexual organ. Butts are not a sexual organ. We've just created and manifested this desire for them over time within the world. And it's gotten to such a point that people are objectified for those characteristics; a person no longer is a person to some. Rather an object that they wish to conquer, they can no longer see that there's a brain behind the skin, it's just this outer appearance that is the center focal point in their minds. And that's dangerous. That's damaging to everyone in the situation. A person's voice is silenced that way. In a sense the person's speech is taken away from them because people simply never hear what they say because the outer appearance is too loud for them to hear over.
That's why I don't take it as a compliment when someone comments on my boobs or ass because they're just body parts. That are fixated upon and fetishized. Someone stopped me last night when I said the word fetishized and tried to correct me that I meant fantasized. I didn't. Let's call it what it is. It's something that's been fetishized beyond the point recognition where ass versus tits because a regular passive conversation for some. Where they think their answer actually means something. Where girls, like there one I was with last night will indulge in it and light up when someone says something positive about butts because hers is larger than some others. Or retaliate when someone makes a comment about boobs because she greatly regrets that she wasn't born with a larger cup size. IT DOESN'T MATTER. We weren't not born to be other people's sexual objects and that's not a conversation which I will partake in without raising my voice about something besides the shape of a women's body.
