I really wish I still had the attention span for reading books. I often think fondly of the time I read the 7th hp book in one day and did a book report on it in 4th grade. As opposed to current me, who is struggling to finish my all time favorite book that I’ve read many times. And I’m doing so while the other 90% of my collection sits untouched and sobbing. For my birthday? Asked for more books.
i think the attention span thing is very common, it’s why i stopped reading much for ages and TBH the only reason i’m reading so much now is because i’m so unbelievably stressed and depressed and need distracting 24/7 because i can’t bare to think about my life and my grief!! so on the one hand i’m happy to be reading so much finally, but also, yikes
