So, not that anyone asked, but when I was in year 12 in a rural high school in Australia there was a talent scout for our drama final and I had this whole bit about being a dying Irishman with a thick acent and it was pretentious as fuck but I got called up after and they asked if I was really Irish and I said 'nawh' in the broadest Australian accent and they asked where I learned it and I was too embarrassed to say it was because we got the ABC and little else out here and I was allowed to watch Ballykissangel and my little heart had been stolen by Assumpta Fitzgerald so they asked my parents and one's Glaswegian before Shrek was a thing and anyway that's how I missed out on a scholarship for being too gay
