If the series ends with a wedding I want two things Vows between Rapunzel and Eugene And a better version of the wedding kiss 😏 y'all know what I'm talking about What do you want from the series finale?
I want them to remake Tangled Ever After, but from Rapunzel and Eugene’s point of view. I want it to be about the hustle and bustle of the planning, picking the clothes, the flowers, Arianna presenting Rapunzel and Eugene with her grandmother’s wedding rings, Rapunzel asking the Pub Thugs for help on the finer details, about deciding on a compromise between traditional and what Rapunzel and Eugene think feels right (like an outdoor reception). I want Hook Hand to return from his world tour in the nick of time so he can play for the wedding, to much joy and welcoming from the other Thugs, and Rapunzel and Co. I want Max and Pascal’s Flynnanigans to be glossed over in favor of focusing on the wedding itself. I want it to end with dancing and laughter and leaving on their honeymoon and a closing narration, “And we’re living happily ever after, after all.” And I want Assunta to catch the bouquet.
(As I said in that recent ask, I don’t think we’ll get a particularly passionate kiss in a kids’ series, like I bet it would be lacking Eugene’s jaw action, but not Rapunzel’s foot pop.)

Hi! I was wondering, are you a fan of the Pub Thugs? If so, would you want to see more of the their background stories, specifically why they like certain hobbies? Such as why is Ulf into miming? Why does Vladimir love ceramic unicorns so much? That sort of thing.
I am a fan of the Pub Thugs! In fact, I’m a fan of more of the Pub Thugs than made it into the series! Like Tor and Gunter! There’s this one background character, Thorny, who I’d love to see more of!
I want to know what Shorty did to ever be considered one of the Thugs, since he seems to do nothing but walk around in a state of constant drunkenness (and unbathed). Did he used to be really spry and wily? Did his size make it easy for him to fit in smaller spaces, so he could steal? I want to see Big Nose and Assunta together, out on a date, and see how she deals with it when he’s being particularly thuggish (because she’s clearly not trying to change him). Hook Foot wants to be a dancer? Let’s see him dance! His brother is clearly excellent at the piano! Let’s see their childhood, where one brother played on a ramshackle piano rescued from the church rubbish while the other danced ballet in their shabby living room!
And is Milton supposed to be Shorty’s goat, or does he just follow him around because there’s something in his beard he wants to eat?
I hope we get to actually meet Assunta in an episode. I hope she calls Big Nose by his real name. I wonder if she’s an adorable klutz, and she’s used to people bumping into her and dropping their hats on her head. ♥
Something I haven’t specifically seen anyone else mention so far that I really like about the Tangled Series.
“I’ve Got a Dream” portrayed Big Nose as a hopeless romantic, which is all well and good, but he’s also a thug. I think the series does a really good job of balancing the aspects of his personality. When Eugene shows him the ring he’s planning to propose to Rapunzel with, Big Nose’s response is, “Nice.” Not the kind of reaction you’d expect a hopeless romantic to have. Yet, he writes poetry for and about Assunta (yay, she has a name now! I hope we get to see more of her!), in which he declares his love a secret, at least in the title (”Can You Keep a Secret? I Love You”).
It’s possible that he’s still not comfortable showing his softer side. Rapunzel is often the exception for people, bringing things out in them that they aren’t willing to tell anyone else about. She was for Eugene, for Maximus, for all the other thugs in the Snuggly Duckling. I’m really appreciating that they don’t think everyone who she’s come across has had a complete 180 in personality. It’s really realistic to have them maintain the core personalities they’ve been living with for years.
Good job, Crew!
(As an aside, I think it’s sweet that the guys ask Big Nose about his relationship.)
