Quick hot take: people not only forget that Astarion is actually an undead vampire, but also the fact he is an elf. Not human. Elf. Not your regular human neighbour. High elf. Without human psychology and world-view - he is an elf. He doesn't sleep like a human - elves meditate. He has long pointy ears for a reason, damn it, and you can clearly see in community how little people pay any mind to it. Fresh AA-antis bullshit coming up: now the actual need of feeding on blood for a vampire is being called just "an addiction". Best anecdote of the evening.

It's literally the only thing they genuinely need like people need air water and food to just live. They are calling the only legit source of energy to live an "addiction" that "can be controlled". Are they fucking serious LMAO

Just say you hate vampires being vampires. Blood feeding is the core of vampirism. They are undead for a reason.

They say Astarion needs it just for "staying safe and strong". IT'S HIS FOOD. THE ONLY TYPE OF FOOD HE CAN CONSUME WITHOUT VOMITING IT BACK.

Breaking news! People too need a food source to stay safe and strong, because apparently a sated well-fed person has little chances to faint from starvation on a street!

Are you folks by possible now enjoying heafty meal, breakfast, lunch or a dinner? Are you not able to control yourself and your urge to consume? Are you addicted on food? Okay, one thing that bothers me about Astarion's design, and I mean REALLY bothered me, despite knowing it's not a huge thing to be bothered about, is the fact that he has a subtle 5 o'clock shadow! Elves canonical can't grow beards and yet they did not colour correct the face of the man they scanned for Astarion and it honestly drives me batty.

Yes I know I'm getting upset over nothing but I could have fixed that with a £5 concealer!
