Ah and from this magnificent fair I did not buy anything but I brought home a fantastic DERMATITIS thank you very much

So to ALL Astarion cosplayers: don’t wear the pants if it’s hot. It’s not just the heat, it’s the heat, the sweat, the dust, everything will collect in those pants.

I know what you’re thinking: “if he can do it I can do it too!!!”

No darling.

Our beloved vampire does not have a heartbeat, he does not sweat. But JUST LIKE US he does not like the concentrated power of the SUN in his pants, for a whole day.

You want to wear a good cosplay? Find a cotton alternative for the pants. Or suffer the consequences like me. It’s been 2 days of dermatitis, I got some medicine prescribed today :) I want to kill the sun

I made the pdf of Astarion’s Dagger, the one he has equipped early in the game (the one he uses against Tav, during their first meeting… if you know what I mean 👀 ).

It’s free because all Astarion’s girlies deserve a little dagger, as a treat :)

As info: the total length should be 39 cm or 15,35 inches. You can adjust the pdf scale using your printer, according to the length you want it to be.

It was honestly a bit hard to draw, since it’s not a knife and the lines are not straight, but the center line IS straight so (I guess it’s one of the few straight things about him… anyways) I had to balance the lines a bit

It has a place in my heart because it is the first EVA foam thing I made 💖 so I think sharing is the right thing to do… hope it helps! 🍀

Hi! As you may or may not know, I'm making Astarion Ancunin cosplay and, just in case someone needs this, the link goes to a pdf on my drive with the print of the tattoo: I resized it on A4 paper sheets (basically it's 30 cm / 11 inches wide) so you can print it and use it for your cosplay (or other) needs!

I personally used it to draw the tattoo on water soluble paper so I could sew it with white thread on his white shirt (NO ONE is gonna notice at the con, I know, but I will know and I'm ok with it lol) but you can also print it and make something else lol

I’m doing a thing…

I saw a cosplayer planning to embroider Astarion’s tattoo in red on a mesh piece to wear as a suit and I thought to myself: this is cool as fuck!

I had to stop and ponder: I think his tattoo is one of the big parts of his story, and I wanted to keep it in my costume… I’m learning embroidery because I plan to make his jacket in the future but my idea is to exercise and sew the tattoo in white on the back of his white shirt.

I copied the tattoo on some water soluble stabilizer and went on with it… it’s almost fun (almost!) and I’m becoming faster as I go and learn! It’s exciting!

After this I will focus again on the pants, and some costest, since I will have to wear this in July…

I finally finished the shirt!!

I’m pretty satisfied with the result, since I realized mid collar that I was actually making a shirt. Like. Honest to god shirt

Anyways! I’m stuck looking for the fabric for Astarion pants

I saw that other cosplayers made them with fake or real leather but it seems I can’t find a solution. For reference the pants are brown on the ass part, and then they have a cover that looks like it’s made of embossed black leather, and they have an embossed belt too

For the brown fake leather, there is no problem. The issue is that the black leather is expensive and I don’t want to also buy the stuff to emboss it with the design 🥲

The same design is impossible to find online, but there are leaf embossed fake leather rolls on Temu but they are max 30 cm wide! I would need like 4 rolls and they would be patched together. It would look horrible

For this reason I was looking for some other solution, like simply using a non fake leather fabric… like the examples below

Please consider also that I will wear this during a summer convention: fake leather is plastic, it would be a sauna inside the pants…
