here's somethings that i don't think some parents (especially parents of gifted kids) don't understand

we can't be perfect all the time.

we can't have 100s or As all the time

we can fail.

we can screw up.

we can have lows

don't yell at us for screwing up a grade or a test because then it seems like you don't care for us. you only care for our achievements

if you aren't ready for us to fail, you don't see us as human.

if you aren't going to comfort us when we screwed up, you don't see us as human.

if you think we can be perfect our whole lives without a single low, then you aren't ready to become a parent. buy a robot or something.
