It ends up being around fifteen past midnight when Eddie’s van swerves into the nearly-empty parking lot of Family Video. Eddie tumbles out and across the parking lot, throwing the store doors open dramatically—or trying to, instead slamming bodily into the glass. A quick check shows no blood, on him or the door thank you very much, and a quick jiggle of the handle tells him why he’s been so cruelly assaulted by the building: locked.
Did Steve get tired of waiting and go home? Did he lock him out? Is Eddie too late‽
