Alcestis was the daughter of King Pelias. When she came of age he sought to marry her off on one condition; he would only marry her to a man who could harness both a lion and a boar to the same chariot. Admetus, Alcestis' cousin, was capable of preforming such a feat because Apollo had wished to thank him for his kind employment during his exile post-Asclepius. When it was Admetus' time to die - after Apollo asks the Moirai for an extension and they tell him life is only paid for with death - no one wished to take his stead in the Underworld. He expected his aged parents to step in and neither of them did... Alcestis, however, loved her husband immensely, so she volunteered to die in his stead. She died and he wished to die too having lost his soulmate but he did nothing to stop or join her. Heracles having travelled with Admetus during the era of the Argonauts offered to return her after seeing how distraught he was. In some versions, it is Persephone that returns Alcestis from the Underworld. Upon her return, she was not able to speak for three days, and remained pale and shadow-like, until she was purified. The play by Euripides ends with no further explanation at this point. In other versions, Alcestis and Admetus have children and live a long and happy existence. IN MY OPINION Alkeste in your chart can represent a) what you will do for those you love, b) where you sacrifice yourself for someone unworthy, and/or c) where your actions speak more fluently than your words do.

i'm going to work off of what i already have posted (no asteroids discussed after this post will be included or added after the fact). i would like to state that NO TWO CHARTS ARE THE SAME. what i am about to list out does not mean you will for sure need these exact things (or all of these things) to be resonate with a house - i don't know you personally this is a hypothesis. plus hogwarts is a fictional location. if you don’t understand my thought process feel free to comment with questions!

gryffindor

aries (1°, 13°, 25°) sun, mars, venus, and/or rising: they have spirt and courage fit for the house. the fearlessness of these people is just astounding.

aries (1°, 13°, 25°) or leo (5°, 17°, 29°) arthur (2597) and/or aspecting jupiter: the quest for the holy grail and the bravery of his fellow knights exemplify chivalry, loyalty, and the courage to fight for what is right.

aries (1°, 13°, 25°) or leo (5°, 17°, 29°) beowulf (38086) and/or aspecting mars: this was a hero who confronted monstrous foes like grendel and a dragon; harry potter bravery for sure but then again maybe beowulf inspired that witch that made this beloved series.

leo (5°, 17°, 29°) sun, moon, mercury, venus, and/or rising: bold, confident, and wishes to lead the way. also hi its a gryffindor lion - get it leo lion?? also the charisma that leo people have is equally to gryffindor people.

leo (5°, 17°, 29°) heracles (5143) and/or aspecting mars: heracles’ feats, including battling lions and hydras, highlight bravery and resilience, embodying the gryffindor spirit in overcoming formidable challenges.

sagittarius (9°, 21°) moon, mercury, and/or mars: nothing reminds me of hermione, ron, and harry like sag placements. they love having the freedom to do what they wish - they are rule breakers who want to explore. they are willing to take risks for the greater good too.

libra (7°, 19°) venus: loyal and brave when there people find a group they will do anything to protect them.

hufflepuff

taurus (2°, 14°, 26°) sun, moon, mercury, and/or venus: these people have very stabilizing energy which i feel like is common in hufflepuff characters. they bring many people comfort in times of chaos as they tend to be very consistent in how they act.

taurus (2°, 14°, 26°) or cancer (4°, 16°, 28°) demeter (1108) and/or aspecting moon and/or venus: these are the people who love unconditionally and would go to the ends of earth for the people they care about just like a hufflepuff would.

cancer (4°, 16°, 28°) sun, mars, and/or rising: no one is a nurturing and sensitive as these people. they are warm and comforting as well.

virgo (6°, 18°) mercury and/or rising: they pay attention to every detail like it is all very important. these are the people who will remember something small that others will forget thus making those around them feel special and grateful for their presence. they are acts of service people just like most hufflepuffs.

libra (7°, 19°) venus: they are peace loving and wish to create harmony for the group as a whole.

pisces (12°, 24°) moon: they are compassionate, empathetic, and intuitive just like a hufflepuff.

ravenclaw

gemini (3°, 15°, 27°) sun, mercury, and/or rising: curious demeanor; they love communicating in particular as a means to learn new things. quick wit / quick mind.

gemini (3°, 15°, 27°) odysseus (1143) / ulysses (5254) and/or aspecting mercury and/or mars: known for his cleverness and resourcefulness during his long journey home, his ability to think strategically and creatively is unmatched.

virgo (6°, 18°) moon: no one else will be out here analytically thinking in a practical cut and dry manner.

libra (7°, 19°) mercury and/or rising: i always think of socratic seminars when it comes to a libra. the air inspires the communication while the venus encourages the peaceful flow of information sharing.

capricorn (10°, 22°) mars: these people have the discipline required to doing studying like the people this how would. plus they are very strategic in their thinking - it reminds me of an expert game of chess.

aquarius (11°, 23°) sun, moon, mercury, mars, and/or venus: innovative. original. full of unique perspectives on problems. they need independence to full explore everything they wish to. unconditional thinking. they aren't afraid to question what everyone else simply accepts as the answer.

slytherin

aries (1°, 13°, 25°) moon and/or mars: "be aggressive; be-be aggressive"! they need to win like the house suggests winning and glory is very important - they will do so "by whatever means necessary".

aries (1°, 13°, 25°) and/or scorpio (8°, 20°) gilgamesh (1812): the legends focuses on ambition and the lengths one might go to achieve greatness, including deceit and manipulation...

gemini (3°, 15°, 27°) mercury: these people are adaptable and cunning - nothing escapes them...

taurus (2°, 16°, 28°) venus: with power and prestige comes luxury and wealth. this placement just screams slytherin aesthetic to me.

virgo (6°, 18°) rising: only this placement would have such a philosophy they plots and plans are of the utmost importance.

scorpio (8°, 20°) sun, moon, mercury, and/or mars: can't beat a scorpio here... it's the intensity, the secrecy, the determination... they have an innate willingness to fight for what they want most. they also tend to have a sharp mind - they understand a great deal and notice even more.

scorpio (8°, 20°) medusa (149) and/or medusa (149) aspecting pluto: transformed into a snake headed being, medusa represents cunningness and power of the misunderstood. she like the basilisk turns humans to stone reflecting both fear and strength, aka the complex relationship with power commonly found in slytherin house.

scorpio (8°, 20°) or capricorn (10°, 22°) medea (212) and/or medea (212) aspecting mercury, mars, and/or pluto: she uses her skills and cunning to achieve her goals; thereby demonstrating both ambition and the darker aspects of power, especially in regards to her quest for vengeance.

capricorn (10°, 22°) sun, venus, and/or rising: it's their ambition and the discipline they have to become successful. they determined to succeed. not to mention they are loyal - which is very common among slytherins...

loke (4862) aspecting mercury, neptune, and/or pluto: the trickster god, embodies cunning and cleverness. he tends to use his intelligence to manipulate situations for his own benefit.

Bulls find their way into mythology across many cultures. The stories of Taurus and Aldebaran, the Bull's eye, are rich and varied. In Vedic myth, Rohini - associated with Aldebaran - is known as the favored wife of Chandra, the moon god. As a result, her star is considered especially auspicious. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Bull of Heaven is sent to Earth by Ishtar, creating a rather dramatic symbol of divine wrath and cosmic order. In Greek mythology, the bull may be the very one Heracles faced during his labors - or, more famously, the form Zeus took when he abducted Europa, his lustful gaze transforming him into a majestic white bull. IN MY OPINION Aldebaran in your chart can represent a) the power you hold, b) where you're perceptive or where vigilance pays off, and/or c) what you observe or what consistently captures your attention.

mercury (gemini or virgo) ruled 7h - no, i wouldn’t count degrees in this. oddly, what i have noticed is virgo 7h solar returns lead to broken off engagements? perhaps not always but oftentimes ya lol.

7h mars; mars is both ambition and assertion with passion both are generally found in proposals.

8h vertex

mercury-saturn and/or jupiter-saturn; it’s giving “til death do we part vibes” also saturn is fidelity so these two aspects are good indicators that the proposal with be that of long-term commitment.

cteatus, the conjoined (asteroid 7641)

Cteatus and Eurytus were conjoined twins who hatched from an egg. Poseidon had seduced the wife of Actor (Molione) in the guise of a bird. The two aided the aided King Augeias when Hercules threatened to invade the country. Unfortunately, they did not survive a second run in with Hercules who slew them both while they travelled to the Nemeian Games. IN MY OPINION Cteatus in your chart can represent a) closeness to your sibling, b) where you appears bigger or more menacing than you actually are, and/or c) the part of you that others sever.

charybdis, sea monster of the deep (asteroid 388)

No one knows the origins of this creature of the sea - yet some claim she must be the daughter of Poseidon and Gaea. Charybdis frequently appears in stories where heroes are at seas. After Hercules's tenth labor she tried to steal his cattle, Jason sailed between her and Scylla, etc. Odysseus was told by Circe that he was better off sailing close to Scylla and losing a few men over sailing too close to Charybdis and losing both the ship and his crew. Unfortunately, when Odysseus's men offend Helios by eating his cattle, he forced the crew - on the sail back from whence they came - to sail over Charybdis and the ship was suck down in a whirlpool. Only Odysseus made it out alive. IN MY OPINION Charybdis in your chart can represent a) what is all consuming in your life, b) why people fear you, and/or c) your eating habits.

jason, the unconventional hero (asteroid 6063)

"when talking about such a popular god/ goddess/hero i am going to for warn paraphrasing - of course all these stories have more details and all these popular gods have stories within stories. i would love to share them all/in detail but i would need a book and a lot more time to write it. my attempt in writing these posts are to inform you on the high level story of the god’s or goddess’s life. that being said if any one of the events regaled in the post pique you interest - please let me know i don’t mind giving a more in-depth tale of any of the events mentioned."

Son of King Aeson and leader of the Argonauts, Jason was sent away at a young age before he was more than just a boy prince. His uncle seized the land his father ruled - his father sent Chiron to raise him due to this. When he returned to his homeland as a young man, he came upon an old woman near a river who asked him to help her cross it. Jason took the woman across on his shoulders - this woman was Hera, who his uncle allegedly had been neglecting to worship. Hera inspired the boy to see his uncle. Pelias immediately felt mortified as he noted Jason was missing a sandal - for years he worried that someone would challenge him. So, in those years, he visited with an oracle who told him that he should be wary of a man with only one sandal. He immediately feared his nephew was there to steal his throne - so he questioned Jason about what he would do if someone challenged his reign. Jason answered as that he would send them on a quest for the Golden Fleece - these words were spoken by Jason but were guided by Hera once more. Pelias told him that is what Jason would have to do to prove he was the rightful king of the land. Jason was off to start readying himself for the journey - with Athena's guidance, he found the shipbuilder Argus who crafted Jason's ship, the Argo. He then recruited the Argonauts: Heracles, Castor, Pollux, Meleager, Orpheus, Peleus, and Telamon. Jason and the Argonauts traveled to islands made up of cursed women, six-armed men, Amazons, etc. Eventually he received the fleece with the help of the enchantress Medea (this part of the story, I have told - I will leave it to her post because, let's face it, she did basically all the work). The two fled together under near constant chase of her family - until eventually they found that if they were married they would have no right to chase after her. The two married; as we know from her side of the myth their relationship is an odd one. She tricks his cousins into killing their father King Pelias, his cousin kicks him out, Jason remarries - not really because Medea burns her in her wedding gown, Medea kills their children, etc. Unsurprisingly, Jason is abandoned by the gods because of his disloyalty to Medea and their shared vows. Jason then lives out the rest of his days alone - ironically, the rotting Argo collapses on him and Jason dies from a crush wound in his sleep. IN MY OPINION Jason in your chart can represent a) how you can improve your leadership skills, b) where you are a pawn in karma's game, c) where the gods guide you, d) where you get a lot of help from others, and/or e) how/where your break vows.

augeias, shepherd king of a fine herd (asteroid 13184)

Augeas was the king of the Epeians and son of Helios. The name/group might be familiar to some when thinking of Heracles, who was tasked with cleaning out all of Augeas stables without help and within a day. King Augeas had not cleaned the stables in a quite a long time so manure had greatly accumulated. Augeas thought it impossible that Heracles could clear the stable in the day, so he promised Heracles a tenth of his cattle if he could complete the task with the time restraint. Phyleus, Augeas's son, oversaw the agreement and the task. Not wanting to get dirty with dung, Heracles diverted the local rivers so that they would wash away the dung through the stables and away. When Heracles reappeared in front of Augeas, Augeas outright refused to keep his promise regarding paying Heracles in cattle. However, his own son spoke against him, and, in response, Augeas would banish Heracles and Phyleus. Later, Heracles would return and dethrone Augeas and instate Phyleus. IN MY OPINION Augeias in your chart can represent a) where you neglect to keep things clean/tidy in your life, b) where you doubt others' abilities, c) where your word is no go / where you don't keep your promises, and/or d) which area of life and who does not forget your promises.
