Aye, Yeah!
Alright, so what great characterisation do we have this episode?!
Kanata: You did so well this episode, I’m so proud. He starts out trying to sort out his thoughts on the traitor matter which I think he does well. He knows that he shouldn’t technically rule out anyone yet even though they ‘might not be suspicious’. But he does put it aside for a while because he also realises that it’s important to keep the crew together. However, he also realises that he should tell the truth so that everyone is on the same page, after realising that they might actually be targeted. And then when the crisis hits, he does a very good job at delegating roles to each crew member on the fly.
Aries: She is establishing herself as observant both with people and her environment! She notices when Kanata seems a bit off. It’s revealed that she’s an honour student,, so she’s smart! I’m sure the photographic memory helps. She’s then able to help with the discussion of the traitor and their actions. She’s also the one to remind everyone that there’s still hope for not crashing and she remembers the backup generator! They’d all be as flat as a pancake if not for her! Not only that, but at the end of the ep you see her noticing that something is off with Yun Hua too. Observation skills are 10/10
Zack: I wish I had his mental maths abilities. Please Zack. Also he had the nerve-wrecking task of pulling the ship back up and making sure that when the generator was working, they wouldn’t cash!! Excellent piloting, right there. Also to note, it seems he didn’t tell anyone about the traitor beforehand either and waited for confirmation with Kanata before they decided to divulge the info...he’s a loyal one, this Zack.
Quitterie: As mentioned in 1/2, she does still have big reactions but is quicker to apologise, good on her. She treated Yun Hua when she was feeling off and told her to take care, though she did snub her when out of sight. However, she also shows that she’s quick in thinking to soak up the water from Yun Hua’s mouth! Lack of gravity does mean water tends to stick to surfaces, rather than flowing anywhere so Yun Hua would have been in big trouble if not for that!
Charce: He’s a really good cook it seems! Very nice! His charming side does come out again. He’s still good in crisis too, going to go and check the pressure while Zack was not piloting the ship to check something else.
Luca: GOOD JOB LUCA. Glue gun to the rescue! Future glue guns are so strong huh. I need one...not that I do art but could be useful. He definitely prevented the situation from getting worse!
Funi: Well I’m glad she loves her anime so much that she paid attention to that conversation! Means that the crew is aware of the suspicious activity...we wouldn’t have the tension without her remembering!
Yun Hua: ...;-; OH YUN HUA. She couldn’t do anything but she was determined to. You could see it. She did try.
Ulgar: Alright so MVP definitely goes to Ulgar! WIth less than a minute, he rushes in to take down that baby Turgon that found its way aboard (lmao thanks for keeping eggs, huh Charce?). That’s some immense pressure to cope with but WOW that skill in actually hitting that thing. Super clutch, Ulgar.
