yeah the kissing one would catch him sooo offguard, especially if this hypothetical play fight happens before he has gotten over some of his issues and has made the first move to kiss reader (bc honestly in this fic reader is waiting for him to be ready enough to give a smooch). in any case, yes this would be effective. i think he deserves to be treated like a pretty lil princess for a while <3
