that kid who'll always recognize you (even if you're always in disguise and can't even recognize yourself)

sylvester and eko the dynamic ever i /will/ yap about them below. also i made like half this comic in a moving van somehow so things may not look right

Eko is a talented shapeshifter and a master of deceit. She can hide not only her true identity, but also her emotions, desires, and whole circumstances from others.

She was living in another disguise, this time as her own species, a kumiho, in a band of thieves when Sylvester and her started to become close.

Somehow, even when disguised, Sylvester could always recognize her. He could even accurately guess her emotions, and seemed to know much more than most people on certain things.

(Neither of them knew this, but Sylvester had been subconsciously demonstrating his oracle abilities.)

In the future, the met again and the dynamic basically goes like this:

begrudgingly allied with a 10yo to enemies with some guy to maybe enemies with the guy who somehow recognizes you when he was ten to allies to found family and basically becoming his aunt

Eko didnt have any sense of identity, having lost hers over 300 years of disguising herself into humanity

While Sylvester always had and always will recognize her, one way or another, even when Eko can't even recognize herself.

This lets Eko settle down and try to find her own identity.

Also, Sylvester's constantly seeks the truth while eko is the master of disguise their roles both foil as contrast, and make them work well with each other

in the current day, Eko also looks similar to him (sillouette-wise) :D

i don't have much lore of yet, she's an aesthetics character and i think she will be very dressable in cute outfits C:<

okay so i've decided that in my OC world, sirens and nymphs have similar vowels and syllables (for naming and never-developed languages) but im stuck on choosing between having the cause be a) similar respiratory systems and mayhaps evolution, or b) a shared common language used underwater

i could take the fun option of doing both, but that's all a choice for future me :P

My policy is pretty much a blanket yes, anyone can make podfics of any of my fics if they'd like. I'd prefer it if you'd tell me that you're making one and which fic you're making it for, though, but no hard feelings if you don't. Thanks for asking!!!
