        ❝  HEY ,  CAN I TALK TO YOU FOR A SEC ?  ❞   the  hero  makes  her  tone  sweet ,  one  she  doesn’t  really  show  to  most  people  with  the  exception  of  alessio  and  well ,  astrid ,  though  she  probably  should  have  dropped  it  by  now .  with  both  hands  in  the  pockets  of  her  pants ,  theo  leaned  in  a  bit ,  as  if  about  to  share  a  secret  with  her  ex  girlfriend .  ❝  be  careful  with  the  whole  drinking  thing ,  okay ?  i’m  not  trying  to  mom  you  or  anything  but ...  you  were  pretty  out  of  it  last  time ,  ❞   she  points  out  with  a  chuckle ,  though  it  is  far  from  a  mockery .  ❝  just  looking  out  for  you .  ❞

vanilla: how long does it usually take you to fall asleep?

a bit, honestly. usually 30 to 40 minutes.

peach: can you cook or bake?

i’m a pretty good cooke and i try to bake, i don’t think i’m all that good, though. i can make something edible. 

spearmint: what’s an interesting fact about you?

i can like my elbow.

        THE INFIRMARY WAS NO SHORT  of  a  second  bedroom  for  theo .  in  fact ,  she  was  pretty  sure  she’d  visited  that  place  more  than  many  of  the  other  locations  around  campus ,  like  the  gardens  or  even  the  rec(tangle) .  what  seemed  foreign  to  some  was  no  just  normal  for  the  redhead .   today  was  no  different ,  and  so ,  theo  found  herself  walking  to  the  infirmary  with  a  gash  in  her  right  arm .  did  it  hurt ?   yes ,  but  it  was  nothing  she  wasn’t  used  to .  if  anything ,  there  were  worse  pains  in  this  world ,   like  seeing  your  ex  the  moment  you  set  foot  in  a  room .

         inhaling  a  sharp  breath ,  the  hero  promised  herself  not  to  make  this  more  awkward  than  it  already  was .   she  had  to  be  okay  with  it ,  so  that  astrid  could  be ,  too .   after  knocking  lightly  on  the  door  frame ,   theo  raised  her  brows .   ❝  hey  bubbles ,  ❞  she  greeted ,  then  nodded  lightly  in  the  direction  of  her  injured  arm .  ❝  i  have  a  bit  of  a   situation   here .  ❞

it’s just like tay to be in the middle of a fashion emergency, and to be struggling to deal with it in a public restroom, no less. she’d known this dress was a bad idea but here she was, wearing it anyway, and having to unzip it to use the restroom was proving problematic as the fabric of her dress is now stuck in her zipper and she’s far more stressed about it than what’s probably necessary. tay jumps suddenly when the door opens, though everything is covered, and sighs in relief when she sees astrid. “oh my gosh, hi, i- please help,” she says with a self deprecating laugh. “my zipper is stuck.”

"is the entire thing edible?” she asks, holding up the makeshift cauldron cake. “i’m afraid to test it out and look stupid.” talia grabs a plate and places the cake down, then looks around for utensils. “should i just try slicing through it with a knife and see what happens?” / @astridthejohnson​

my dad used to tell me the story cinderella a lot, so i have a soft spot for it, but probably the little matchstick girl now.
