how about chloe/cutter?

When or if I started shipping it:The moment Charlie said “she’s the best in the business you know”.  I was like “that’s it, that’s code for ‘I’m sleeping with Chloe Frazer.”

My thoughts:OOPS I FORGOT THIS ONE. Anyway, this ship appealed to me at first because I thought 'ok cool Chloe found someone like Nate but not as much of a sleazebag as Harry.' 

What makes me happy about them:Charlie seems genuinely nice (unlike Harry), but not as … mercurial as Nate.  So in a lot of ways I think he’s a good person for Chloe and comes with like 70% less drama.

What makes me sad about them:The downside of Charlie is that he gets himself wrapped up in things just as much if not moreso than Nate (and as far as we know, without even the I Was a Sad Orphan and Now I need to Prove Myself motivation) and has both less of a sense of When To Give Up Already, and none of Nate’s crazy monkey skills or insane pure luck.  I genuinely think the man’s gonna get himself killed sometime.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:Hmm, I think nearly all fanfic that deals with them post-Uncharted 3 doesn’t have nearly the sort of tension I would expect from Charlie’s “you can’t let them win” speech to Nate.  Chloe doesn’t want her boys to die and Charlie’s ego can’t take the perceived loss of face.  I can’t see them being automatically hunky-dory.

Things I look for in fanfic:Uhh … things not what I just wrote about I guess? I don’t really go looking for Charlie/Chloe fanfic.  I do like things set in little spaces in the game we didn’t get to see like, Charlie and Chloe in Syria before Nate and Sully get there.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I’m down with Sully/Chloe as a thing even if I have no idea how to write it.  Charlie IDK what to do with.  Uncharted’s got a small cast and a lot of them tend to be dead.

My happily ever after for them:Chloe drives a Porsche over an exploding bridge while Charlie hangs out the window, shooting behind them while quoting Shakespeare.  Freeze frame. Roll credits.
