San Japan would like to welcome our next Guest DJ, Masayoshi Minoshima.
Since 2003, he’s been producing Touhou arranges in electronic styles, primarily techno and house under his own name and label, Alstroemeria Records. His record label is rife with Touhou remix albums which bring in elements of House, Trance, UK Hardcore, Dancehall, and a myriad of other genres that showcase his musical versatility.
In 2007 he became notable for his arrangement and shadow-art video of "Bad Apple!!", which has become an iconic symbol of Touhou fandom. Arguably the most recognized Touhou remix, his career and exposure exploded after its release.
In 2011 he began releasing albums in the Dancehall style. His new albums contained more original material and elements of popular dance and house music, and generally presented in a non-stop continuous mix. His original tracks are generally instrumentals with long vocal samples in his own house style. Minoshima has produced original tracks for the Diverse System and Delights Music labels. Lately he’s branched out to doing original tracks for companies such as Konami, and Taito for a number of their games, as well as composing for many large commercial projects in Japan. With over forty-five album releases in the past decade, Masayoshi Minoshima is one of the most prolific producers in Japan.
