I can also attest to this??? like, I love that Keith found his mother and all that, but the idea that she’s his only family like??????? if you’re selling me that Shiro is like a brother to him, if you’re showing me flashbacks of that relationship, then don’t wrap things up with only his biological family present (+ kolivan??? I am confusion abt this still) aka why the fuck isn’t Shiro there with him? If Keith knew Shiro way back when and was Ina first name basis with (1)

Adam then why no one even bothered on bringing it up? Ah yes because we’re supposed to forget the gays. Keith found a family in a gay couple, if that’s what canon wants me to believe, but that’s not the endgame he gets. His mom is great, but Keith’s family is not just her and a wolf.

After his speech Shirogane Takashi has only one person in mind: Keith Kogane. With his own family messaging him from afar, he’s far less worried about them. They have plans to meet this coming week—an exciting prospect. Keith has yet to meet Takashi’s parents & he knows they’ll treat Keith like one of their own. Keith is all he can think about during the press meetings, but he knows that Keith is no longer alone, and it comforts him. His mother and Kolivan will be by his side. (That still doesn’t mean that Shiro doesn’t feel guilty for not being there too.)

When demand for his attention elsewhere finally calms down Shiro is exhausted. It’s still hard to parse that this body isn’t his own, but he hasn’t shared that with anyone other than the Voltron crew. He doesn’t plan to. His parents don’t need to know, nor does anyone else. No, this is a quiet war that he will wage all on his lonesome. 

Shiro reaches Keith’s room and knocks thrice before entering. He has an armful of Bluebonnets that he picked himself in hand. “Hey—” He places the flowers in a vase beside Keith’s bed with a smile. “How’s my favorite leader of Voltron?” There’s pride in his tone that overshadows his exhaustion. Dark circles are under Shiro’s eyes, but there’s still a bright fire in them. How could he feel anything other than pride when looking at Keith Kogane?

    “Nooo, Keith. I don’t wanna. Not yet!” Hunk took his blankets back, preferring to curl himself up in a ball then get up. He just wanted a few more minutes of sleep before he got up to face whatever he had to do for the day, “Pleaaaase?”

yall are all correct and valid, literally everything i’ve been thinking lmaooo. i don’t like how it’s detached, i can’t see it as an arm, exactly like bee said. so i was lowkey thinking of hc’ing his arm as like similar to the prosthetic before but??? the new arm??? just?? attached???

Atlas looms above them all in the hangar—a bastion of the garrison and its people. Soon someone would be flying her and it fills Ken’s heart with pride. Even if it would never be him, just being a part of the project is enough. He has been told time & time again that witnessing Atlas’ creation is a privilege. God, he knows that & he still can’t help but to be blown away by the scale of her. Ken glances over to the newcomer with a solemn expression. He’s the Red Paladin! A hero on and off Earth...but Ken isn’t the type to get starstruck too easily. Instead, he offers the other a small smile. “Isn’t she beautiful? I’m sure she’s not on par with the technology in the Red Lion, but still—a sight to behold. I wish I could be the one to fly her.” Ken knows he looks out of place in his suit and tie. Everyone else is in military uniform.
