#And he took that personally 💀
Bonus (I still can't stop laughing at Cillian Murphy):
Dmitri might’ve gotten that Oscar but M. Gustave still has “Boy with Apple” bitch
SEBASTIAN STAN, RALPH FIENNES, ADRIEN BRODY, COLMAN DOMINGO & TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET in the audience during the 97th Annual #Oscars
I'm sorry to do this because I have repeatedly said, "don't criticize the art on my posts please", it's just not helpful and I feel people can restrain themselves sometimes and it's healthy, you know, some people feel like every gripe they have needs to be public all the time. My complaint is that it warns people off art they might otherwise just enjoy. Also I have gained appreciation for art that I did not once understand, and realizing this can happen on a personal level makes me less comfortable tearing down something.
But.
Nothing against him otherwise, but Adrien Brody is just one of the worst artists I've seen. Besides the low-effort culture commentary he's trying (oooh Starbucks with a GUN, how edgy), it's the affected, unctuous artist poses and clothing and the sort of "Hey I get street art too" vibe that give me the creeps. If you like it, I don't hate you, but for me, even if you're a celebrity, show me something you actually like, not just what the world's most middlebrow fans think is...Well...here, you can't unsee this.
