this is so stupid but I was thinking abt Peri's introduction in ANW and if it's the same in this AU it would be so silly... Peri trying to be all suave and cool to his FIRST EVER godchild but he's so TINY and he can't even fly to be eye level with him so he's just a little speck of dust on Dev's bed talking about his name change, for some reason.

Dev definitely didn't hear Peri's introduction when he gave it, haha. For as much time Peri spent rehearsing his performance to the point of perfection, he completely forgot about timing. Peri also had no idea just how massive humans would be once he went to Earth- which certainly puts a wrench in his whole "Miserable?" performance.

It's fine, though, Peri had a second chance to do it again once things calmed down for Dev.

The Creatures of Fairywood Forest

^a fancy font to make it seem cool That is to say: hey guys, I've been working on an AU for nearly a month now, and I think it's pretty neat :) The basics:

Fairies (and anti-fairies, pixies, etc...) are whimsical tiny creatures with nature-based magic. Think like Tinkerbell! Or, just... actual fairy folklore, which is something I'm actively researching for this AU! One day, a young(-ish) fairy named Periwinkle wanders away from the Fairywood Forest into the nearby city of Dimmadelphia, where he is promptly grabbed by some random rich kid aaaand shoved in a jar! It's up to his parents, Cosmo and Wanda, to find him! But, oh- Dimmadelphia is a biiiig city. And they are so very small. Fortunately, a 10 year old girl named Hazel who stumbles upon the two is more than willing to help!

Sounds pretty angsty, buuut I'd say it leans more into whimsy. Dev even upgrades Peri to a dollhouse quickly enough! And he has his reasons for fairynapping Periwinkle. Probably.

Got a question? I'd love to answer it! Questions help me ponder situations/concepts I never would have thought of otherwise. Regardless, I'll keep posting about this AU :) it's something I'm having quite a lot of fun making. Fairy folklore is quite interesting.

Made a little ref sheet for my design of Hazel :D more specifically for my AU, hence the lil 'logo' (which I really should update) but I'll also just use it for other things I think.

Also, as you may be able to tell, I tried something new with the coloring, making it more purple-ish. Compare image provided below the cut if u don't know my art.

What do y'all think? Should I stick with the old coloring, or be bold and try to master something new? I do like purple, and think it could be fun... it's just a very big decision, leaving me uncertain.

Shows up to the I <3 ETERNAL SUGAR TOXIC YURI convention but I have a different toxic yuri ship than everyone else and I'm completely oblivious and I make everything really awkward

Anyway um. I think Ex-Virtue of Happiness over here would be able to manipulate tf out of World's Loneliest Horse with ease and that intrigues me as a Horse Enjoyer. Fuck that Cookie up! Tempt them with the promise of finally being happy after so long! Make them unhealthily attached to you for funsies! I love exploring fucked up dynamics.
