Although Fairies have wings and floaty crowny things, they still require magic to float and flutter around. This magic is extremely minimal and automatic. Similar to how humans do not need to think about breathing to do it.

In the rare occasion that a fairy is without magic, they are still able to hover around the ground, teleport or transform into objects.

Flight is a sore subject for Peri. He moves around via Dev's Au Pairs.

So I think I've been headcanoning Dev's mom as deceased and that being one of the reasons Dale is bitter so hard that it made its way into my dreams

No joke, I had a dream that Dale was like, villaining, and Dev said something like "I want my mom-" and Dale, flying upward with rocket boots to sort of loom over his son, mockingly went, "'I wAnT mY mOmMy,' Well you know who wants your mother back even more!? ME!"

And I woke up upset, because I managed to hurt my own feelings
