Sally Ride, the first American woman to go into space, will be honored with a "Forever stamp" by the U.S. Postal Service later today. Ride and four male colleagues went up into the atmosphere aboard the space shuttle Challenger in June 1983. The following year, she launched into space with the first flight crew to have two women members.
