Not your typical science blog
The astrophysics department at my university has exactly two female graduate students. Out of the 12 there are two women and four guys named Tom. The Tom's out number us 2 to 1, and the guys 6 to 1.
The lack of females in my physics classes has always been something I noticed but it hasn't been as dramatic or frankly irritating as it has recently become.
I decided to make this a space where I can talk about my love for both astronomy and feminism, while also making a informative and, hopefully, interesting place for women like me.
