asumyn would never admit it to him (and now she'll never get to), but lio was her first glimpse at what a father might be like. he's not all that much older than her, and there's absolutely times where she felt like she was the one taking care of him, but sometimes the way he'd treat her or watch out for her... it hit her in an emotional gap she didn't know she had. a particular time this happened was back when they were on the deserted island, and he spoke to her after her encounter with the copycat, walked her out of the despair it left her in.
she hated the way he always seemed to be carrying so much weight on his shoulders, and how he never let any of the rest of them help him with it. she's mad that he never told them about what happened to him, about how or why he died again. she's mad at herself for having noticed that he wasn't quite himself for most of their trip, and how she never said anything until almost the very end. she has her suspicions that kravitz straight up lied to her, when she asked what was wrong with lio. she's not just mad, she's grieving.
he's the first big loss she's ever experienced as it happened, rather than learning about it years later. he's someone she's loved and lost, and she's going to carry with her for the rest of her life.
Antolio is unfortunatly too dead to say it, but he LOVED to dad the party. Lio had a rough time growing up, but he always wanted to be a dad, he loved to take care of people, and he saw a lot of himself in Asumyn. He knew how hard it was to grow up feeling alone, and trying to make your way in the world.
He would have been glad to know he impacted her in a positive way.
(AWWWWW GOD THIS IS SWEET)
