“Are you here to bother me again?” He leaned back in his chair as he looked over to Chuuya. It was one of the more quieter days at the Port Mafia and for once a nice change. Dazai had spend most of the day playing some games before he heard the door open. If he should believe Mori’s words then Chuuya was supposed to be somewhere else, doing whatever he was supposed to do. Did Dazai mind it that Chuuya was here? Not much really. As long as the other was not going to bother him too much he was fine. ( Also he would enjoy teasing him if Chuuya decided to stay. ) “ I didn’t know you miss me this much!” He was clearly joking as a little smirk appeared on his face.

       Maybe one, maybe both, it was unclear which or if either of the pair had heard the passing quips. Though surely if a Boss was to catch wind of completely ignorant voices there would quietly be hell to pay. An event saved for later.

      It was the girl who had gotten to him first. An extension of her creator yet at the same time very much her own person. Her childish face scrunched up in disappointed pout. A normal girl would have given out under the weight of adult, but Elise was anything but normal.

                  “Mr Chuuya is supposed to be in bed!” Came a huff, stamping one patent dress shoe on the ground before tugging him back towards the bed.

      The mafioso merely looked on with concerned smile. Not only boss, but doctor as well, and knowing far to familiarly how much damage his executive had sustained. So whether it was concern for his well-being or concern for his own assets, either way he wasn’t about to allow him to wander around just yet.

                  “There’s no arguing with dear Elise, as you know. You will have all the time later to be up and about.”

   — Was it really happening? Maybe yes. Maybe it was the end. After that hard battle, Dazai had not been unharmed that time. The man was lying on the floor, noticing how he was bleeding quickly on the floor. After seeing the other approach, he coughed and looked at him out of the corner of his eye.

   With a weak smile, he stared at the other’s face for a few seconds. He did not need to say anything, but he was going to end up talking, because no matter how painful he was feeling, he always ended up saying some nonsense.

     ❝ Well… looking at my body, you will know that my life is ending in a matter of minutes. That’s what I wanted, is my time to shine ~ ❞ He coughed, almost closing his eyes. ❝ … Hey. Chuuya. I want… to say something… important. ❞

   Dazai kept that weak smile, saying some words that were really important to him, but he did not use the voice to say it. Could Chuuya decipher what he said? Well, it depended on him, the detective already closed his eyes, where slowly the pulse of his heart stopped. As simple as that, that suicidal maniac seemed to have died.

    Or so it was thought, until he opened his eyes again.

    ❝ ………….. Alright I’m going to stop joking with that, but really, I can’t move. ❞

   What did he see on the other’s face? Was it anguish? Sadness? Pain? Dazai dont like that. He wanted to joke, but that really could be frustrating for the other. He did not want to see him in pain, not because of him.

   Maybe it was better to stop making that joke.

   she’s arrived with reinforcements ––  which includes a large ,  fluffy blanket ,  a couple of her cutest stuffed animals ,  a tub of ice cream ,  and some really bad movies .  (  and more alcohol if this doesn’t work . )
