sam couldn't pet (m)any of the cats so i drew him surrounded by them
#started this many many months ago and only just now finished#at 4am...#whoops!#i'm throwing this in the queue and going the fuck to sleep#but i am pretty happy with this!#i was like 90% done with it for months. all i did was add in the shading and texturing and color the outlines#probably only 2-2.5 hours of work#it was a struggle with the rendering. unfortunately i lean heavily towards realism so that means when i try to do cartoon it looks freaky#so originally this was weird as hell but i fixed it and am now very happy with it!!#also the cat on the right is based off of my cat who passed last year :3 his name was finny! say hi!#fulfilling my fantasies of covering sam in cats one drawing at a time#(i have like 20 more sketches of sam in various states of cat-coverment)#also wow so much art from me recently y'all are getting fed this summer!#i updated my gpu driver for this art btw#it was out of date by 2 years and photoshop finally had enough of it and quit showing me stuff#thank god i am so knowledgeable on tech stuff cause there's absolutely no way i would've fixed the problem if i didn't know what i do#i feel so cool when i know all the tech stuff but then so silly when all of it is towards gamers and streamers#and im just drawing silly pictures of grown men covered in cats#an important part of the ecosystem but nonetheless#sam denby#jet lag the game#jltg#zeph's art
