Some character concepts for somewhat humorous thinly-veiled star trek based webcomic. On a real space ship, you don't send your entire command down to a potentially hostile planet. On the Starship Prominence there are dedicated away teams. These are the adventures of Away Team 05.
AT-05 members from left to right:
Crewman Alexander Ross- team linguist and anthropologist. Youngest member of the team.
Lieutenant X'tala- Team Medic and 2IC. Her species is plant based and photosynthetic and she is always teasing her teammates about being so bipedal and energy inefficient.
Lieutenant Commander Maria Reyes- Team CO. Weapons expert and pilot with a history in Black Ops.
Ensign Khadija (something)- Team Technology and Demolitions expert. I'm torn on either giving her a traditional name like Khadija bint Muhammad bin Karim Ibrahim or something shorter and more mixed like Khadija Johnson.
Also pictured is the starship Captain Victoria Hunt who is maybe definitely based on Julie Andrews
