MI vs CSK Prediction- Who Will Win Today’s IPL Match Between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, IPL 2022, Match 33
Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians will face Ravindra Jadeja’s Chennai Super Kings tonight. The two most prestigious and widely followed franchises in the IPL are undoubtedly MI and CSK. While MI have won five titles, CSK have lifted the trophy on four occasions. Until last season, this was the match to watch out for. The 32nd match of the league will be played on 21st April at 7:30 PM IST, in DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.
Pitch Report
This venue has proved to be the toughest amongst all for batting. The bowlers have found a way to trouble the batters. But the pitches do help the batters when the dew sets in. Both teams don’t have the strength in the bowling department like they used to until last season. So, either team would struggle defending a total. Therefore, the team batting second would be the favourite to win.
Playing 11 of MI vs CSK
MI 11 squad – Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Tim David, Jaydev Unadkat, Murugan Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Tymal Mills
CSK 11 squad - Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Dwayne Bravo, Dwaine Pretorius/Adam Milne, Maheesh Theekshana, Mukesh Choudhary
Match Prediction
The past glory is nowhere to be found for either team this year. CSK have won only one out of their six games. They are lying at the penultimate position on the points table. MI have even worse stats as they are without a win in six games and are languishing at the bottom. MI continues to chop and change in search of their maiden victory this season. They brought in the spinner Fabien Allen for the last game. A loss in that match means we could see more amendments in the playing XI.
Conclusion
As per the form of the two teams, this is the best chance for either team to earn points as other teams seem to have an upper hand over them this year. Due to a hammering that Chris Jordan received in the last game against Gujarat Titans, he could find his way out of the XI. CSK might look at options like Adam Milne or Dwaine Pretorius.
Winning prediction goes to Mumbai Indians.
