I am truly overwhelmed !!! . ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 . Today, on what would have been Twizzler’s 15th birthday and just a week after releasing Twix to cross the Rainbow Bridge …. I received the most AMAZING gift from a group of wonderful women who are a part of the Facebook Norwich Terrier community I belong to. . ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 . First to arrive was the 11 x 12 watercolour painting of our beloved Twix and Twizzler done by the crazy talented Kah Tan Lawrence - (this is her Etsy if you want to commission one - etsy.com/shop/KahSketch ) . ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 . I burst into tears immediately - She so wonderfully captured them out in our back garden lizard hunting (see the lizard under the paw!) …. I had just finished crying when there was another knock on the door and the beautiful flowers were delivered. . ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 . I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this, thank you to all 20 of you who got together to do this and a super special thank you Kah for her talent in memorializing our beloved sisters Twix & Twizzler for us … I can’t wait to go out and find a frame for it next week so we can hang it up in our living room. . ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 ... 💕 🐾🐾 💕 . This is the 1st #NationalsDogDay I was feeling kind of sad as we lost Twizzler 8 mths ago at age 14. ....... So I was looking through my phone to figure out what photos to post and discovered that my phone (all on its own) had created a video story called "Dog Days" ... starts in 2006 and it picked random photos of our 2 dogs and it is great! ....... So enjoy! ........ Today we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl Twizzler. I am heart broken, I never imagined we would lose the younger sister first. She was peaceful at the end, she was ready to go. . This is the last photo of the sweet senior sisters together; dogs are very intuitive, her big sister Twix knew - yesterday she laid down close beside Twizzy on the floor (instead of in her crate or another mat) for most of the day .... It's a beautiful, heart wrenching photo. . She would have been 14 in mid January and has never know life without her big sister Twix (15.5) who loved her, they were inseparable .... mind you Twix always made sure Twizzy knew that Twix was the Boss! . She was so loved by our family of 6, and she gave us just shy of 14 years of love & laughter with her goofiness; now she gets to join our previous beloved dogs Nomad (Rottie mix), Axel (Rottie) & Amazon (Golden Mix) on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge ... . RIP baby girl - 01/17/05 - 12/18/18 .
