             it seemed as if everyone was on e d g e              with her sudden new arrival in town, and with her              lack of ability to keep the ice from underneath her              feet from spreading into a winter wonderland.              there was one reason as to why she was here              and that reason was supposed to be a bride-to-be              not a runaway one.               it almost made the queen wonder if she was              the cause of anna taking such a dramatic               scheme to new heights by running so far away.

                     “i don't mean any harm                       i am simply seeking                       the aid of someone to                       help me locate my                                                   sister."

             she was on her l a s t nerves and it clearly              showed with the subtle waver in her              usual calm tone.

A different way

On the warm early spring day, Regina could always be found in the court yard with her tree. She had been a queen on her own for some time now.  The king had passed many years ago.  She was known as a firm queen, but not always unforgiving. Her dark hair was all down with half of it pulled back with a clip.  Her gown was hardly simple.  It was a rich blue, thin layers of fabric, and crystals and jewels throughout.

She had not seen Snow at all this morning and in the back of her mind, she wondered where the young woman had disappeared to.  Regina had been protective of her for sometime and their relationship was tense at first, but had changed to something better.  Regina had never thought she could be a mother and even now, she wasn't sure of how good she had done.

Regina placed another apple in a basket and looked out at the grounds of her kingdom.  She was to be left alone unless Snow showed up.
