I don't know if you've ever addressed this before, but I'm curious as to what you think about the lgbt community, and if you consider yourself apart of it.
Depends on what you mean by the 'lgbt community'.
I have several gay conservative friends in the area that I spend time with semi-regularly. I don't go to gay pride or gay events or use the gay community center (which is literally within walking distance of where I live right now). I used to, but I was treated poorly for my politics when we had political discussions.
I don't really fit in with the gay 'scene' in my area very much. The gay bars are either noisy, full of gay men looking for a hookup, and have really watered down drinks, or they are full of cliquish lesbians who don't like anyone outside of their group.
My college's gay groups are much the same.
So...no, I guess I don't consider myself a part of it. I just have my own community that I've built, so I never really needed theirs. I get to be myself in my community, I don't have to fit in with the expectations of the lgbt community that way.
For your poll, no, you being gay does not affect my view of you. It's great knowing there are gay conservatives!

That's what I get from conservatives, about 90% of the time.

I personally, do not believe in God.
I do not have a problem with those that do. I do not have a problem with religion and I do not wish to abolish it.
