All peace had left her body the moment that Aphrodite’s voice had reached her ears. How was it that this woman had such an effect on her? A fine reminder that Athena did in fact have problems and all of those at present were named Aphrodite.

Then maybe, when Aphrodite's throat is raw and scratchy, she will need to shut up for a while. Really. Why even go to someone who couldn't give a hoot about your petty problems?

Indeed. It served as a powerful tool. To butter up a potential ally, ease tension, create a connection, an understanding between two parties. Athena hated looking foolish or silly even in the slightest, but while she would not be heard laughing before just anyone, she too understood the value that humor brought into certain situations.

"It has a time and a place." She spared a smile in appreciation for the thought. "I don't laugh easily, Lady Ceto. But I can enjoy a good joke even so."

There was a method to the madness, she would claim. The tomes and texts formed seemingly orderless stacks and piles around the space. For her own entertainment, she tossed an especially heavy book over her shoulder in secret hope of ‘accidentally’ pegging Aphrodite square in the face with it. She missed, which was  probably for the best. The book landed atop a pile safely as if it were Athena’s original intentional.

   “I almost didn’t see you there, Lady Aphrodite.” She purposefully chose not to.    “I am merely reorganizing my books according to genre. My collection has grown exponentially since last I did so.”

   “Then I will not insist that you leave. As I understand it, the woods are your home and the outdoors, your element. Just know that Olympus is open to you. Our family would be pleased should you choose to return home for any amount of time, sister. If the thought of returning to us in this way is at all overwhelming, then at the very least my temples are open to you. My home welcomes you as it would meー should you desire the company... Whether you choose to visit or not, I offer you peace of mind to dwell on this matter if it suits you.”
