Acer launches Chromebook Spin 713 based on Intel's Athena project It also has a version for the corporate market called Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713 Acer this week announced its new Chromebook Spin 713 (CP713-2W). This new laptop from the company is based on the Intel Athena design specification and has a slimmer and lighter design without compromising performance. The Athena Project was unveiled by Intel during CES 2020 and basically aims to develop more advanced notebooks with the latest connectivity options. The Chromebook Spin 713 has a 13.5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2256 x 1504 and protected with Gorilla Glass with a microbial coating. The touchpad of this hybrid notebook is also protected with Gorilla Glass and has the same type of coating. It comes equipped with a 10th generation Intel Core processor, up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM, PCI Express SSD with support for the NVMe protocol, and 256GB of storage capacity and battery with up to 10 hours of autonomy and support for fast recharging. This model has MIL-STD 810G certification and a reinforced design that guarantees its durability and resistance. It can withstand falls of up to 122cm from height and impacts of up to 60kg. Because it is a hybrid model, it can be used as a notebook and also as a tablet. The new Chromebook from Acer features stereo speakers, a backlit keyboard, is 16.8mm thick and weighs just 1.37kg.
