you wanna go where your shit’s at. that’s where you go. you know it’s gonna be there, in that place. don’t let it know you’re there. it’ll change on you if you do. you’ve gotta be in and out, lynch. like a motherfucking thief.

❝ Before thee stands this fair Hesperides, With golden fruit, but dangerous to be touch'd; For death-like dragons here affright thee hard: Her face, like heaven, enticeth thee to view Her countless glory, which desert must gain; And which, without desert, because thine eye Presumes to reach, all thy whole heap must die. ❞ ― William Shakespeare, Pericles, Prince of Tyre

Hello! For the ask game : scrapbook, honey and bookshelf ?
scrapbook - describe a favourite memory of yours
Late night at my aunt’s summer house, me, my father and my cousin were all awake, either playing a game or watching something (both me and my cousin are night owls and my dad has insomnia). The coke ran out, but we knew there was more in the fridge on pool house.
Thing is, all the doors were locked and it was pouring outside. So, two children and a sometimes very childlike adult who decided they all HAD to have coke decided it was a brilliant idea to try and open the windows, jump outside and go to the pool house. It was a nightmare because the only window unlocked was the one which led directly to a stone garden and it was not oiled, so it was difficult to pull it open.
After a lot of struggle, we managed to get out, cheered, then braved the rain to reach the pool house and finally we were there! So close!
...And the pool house’s doors were locked.
We looked at each other and then I begun to laugh and my cousin joined in and then there we were, the three of us, soaking wet, laughing so hard my father fell. Then between giggles and curses we went back inside and ate some cake and drank Guaraná and it’s one of our favourite memories together lmao
honey - what do you love most about yourself?
My mind. Placing my modesty aside for a bit, but I’ve always been quite intelligent, brightest girl in the classroom (the one who never studied as much and spent the whole class drawing and scribbling but got great grades anyway), learned things quickly, class rep. at college, so on. I’ve never been the most beautiful, I was the weird outcast girl with strange tastes, but no one, no one could ever say a damn thing about my intelligence. It was the one thing the bullying never could made me doubt: that I’m fucking smart. So that’s the dearest thing about myself.
Might song somewhat arrogant, but that’s the truth.
bookshelf - which books and movies have influenced your life the most?
Well, that’s a complicated ones. Books I’d have to say A Song of Ice and Fire, they had a HUGE impact on me, my writing and my general preferences when reading Fantasy. As for movies, nothing really comes to mind but Dead Poets Society made me an even bigger fan of literature lol.
Sorry this got a bit long, I might have a had a bit of fun answering theses questions xD
cottagecore asks!
Hey! I don't usually react to stuff like what that anon said about trigger warnings but wtf?? as you said, tumblr is one of the only places where there is a decent filtering system. even if that anon is lucky enough to not be affected by any kind of content, why not show some empathy? Never once have we said that all triggering content had to be deleted. Never once. All we ask, is for a little mindfulness, so we can all enjoy this website as a safe and healing place.
yes!! i fully agree! the beauty of the social internet to me has always been the ability to meet new people with differing backgrounds and experiences but that definitely comes with the caveat that different people will have different needs— including the ability to filter content!! i think empathy is the key here on both sides tbh— if someone forgot to tag a trigger out of a genuine mistake rather than ignorance/ malicious intent, then i’m a lot more understanding. and on the flip side, if you’re not tagging content warnings, maybe ask yourself why? if your thinking comes out to ‘people are over sensitive for needing triggers tagged’ like the last anon then maybe,, reconsider your mentality lmao
mythology meme: apollo
❝ Meantime his golden face around He bares to all the garden ground, And sheds a warm and glittering look Among the ivy's inmost nook. Above the hills, along the blue, Round the bright air with footing true, To please the child, to paint the rose, The gardener of the World, he goes. ❞ ― Robert Louis Stevenson, Summer Sun
