Aether x GN!SunGod!Reader

Aether hasn't felt the fingers of someone else combing through his hair in so long it's hard to place how he feels. He's glad that he has someone who he can trust at his side to handle his hair when he cannot be bothered. He enjoys the sensation as they scratch his scalp easing him to relax under their comforting hands in the light of the setting sun. Aether loves how they hum as they undo his braid de-tangling the debris he failed to take notice of.

Aether loves it all though there's always the hint of melancholy because his sister did this for him. When the days were long and he grew tired and couldn't lift his arms to tend to his hair. When either if then was stressed and needed something to do to calm their minds. The silly hairdos he'd indulge her by wearing just until the next settlement.

He misses it all and they reassure him, the light of his life that they are, that he will have those moments in the future. He doesn't miss the fact that they will not be part of said future and doesn't comment. They belong here even if not directly within Teyvat they are needed. They are the light, the sun that wakes up the day and introduces the night.

They tie his hair back up with ease no longer a novice at such simple things with how long they've traveled together and stand to check on the food on the fire. He watches them leave their laced sleeves fluttering about and his hair tie around their wrist.

Hair tie?

Aether feels down his braid noticing the slight difference. He brings up the end to find a neat solid ribbon looped in a floral shape holding his hair in place. He feels his face heat up before joining his traveling companions at their call. Aether doesn't take the hair tie back even if he scolds them for wearing it on their wrist instead tying it around the loose lace on the back of their shirt mimicking the floral shape they decorated him with.

It's not much but he thinks that even once they're inevitably separated he'll remember this moment with far more joy than sadness.

Sunlit Memorabilia Event

Another event because I bounce around oc ideas for funsies but I actually refuse to flesh them out to make an actual oc with just one story line so I'm just making a bunch of x reader things using somewhat set ideas(like clothes) instead :P

I will be writing random ideas for this as well on the side while the event goes on but I'd like to see what people would like to see written with this type of reader in mind.

Key things of the reader(should have added earlier but I forgor):

I'll add more things as I write so everyone can see how this sun god reader develops I guess.

a sun/light god/deity whatever it don matter too much :V

lacey clothes with solid tighter clothes to show off their glowing body without blinding people though they still hecking bright(anyone can wear lace and frills this is for ✨️the aesthetic✨️)

can float/fly cause they're you know rather light :)

glows all the time and it indicates health kinda

their light can fight the abyss but they can literally burn out so they must be careful

Touching them too long directly can be harmful as they are over normal human body temp and can eventually cause sunburns and etc.

Those who are not human, have a vision, and such are somewhat protected from this for a duration but of course still if done too long it eventually hurts.

Beings/objects that have been corrupted by the abyss in some way (Arlecchino, Dainsleif, etc) will have their symptoms of the abyss corruption/curse/etc lessened when directly touching them for a time. Of course this also drains the sun god's powers as it's done unconsciously/automatically but direct touching drains more energy from them.

the sun of Teyvat is fake similarly how the moon is fake...kinda faithful to genshin lore but at the same time throwing it too the wind whenever because this is for funsies

worshiping the sun is sorta something that's been done since forever but over time some places stopped or other places continued but not as strongly as Archons came to be and as ceremonies and etc faded/lost original meanings with time. Like the lantern rite.

This event will go on from 5/19/2026 until 6/20/2026!

----Event Request Guide----

Before making a request requesters must first read my about page to get a general idea. You do not have to read the full rules and request guidelines found within just like the "basic rules" section is fine as this event does not require it for someone to participate but if you'd like to do so for future requests or to see what I'm willing to potentially write go right ahead.

The reader will be Gender Neutral by default and a sun god/immortal light being with a somewhat set outfit/theme as described before this section.

Like in my previous event I decide how the story plays out so any request may turn out cute and fluffy or horrifying and tragic / sfw or nsfw. Please keep this in mind! If you'd like to get an idea of what I'm willing to write check further into the rules and guidelines.

I'd like to write for as many different genshin characters as possible so if there are any double picks for a character already requested/completed they will either be combined together or be done separately after the event is finished. Also you can pick either male or female characters from the game I don't care.

Requests must contain the name of the character and a time of day(morning/night/etc).(originally had an item as well but maybe that's too much for people to do a request...I still accept requests with items though.)

He still maintain the same sarcasm and sharp-tongued attitude, yet it is noticeably softer at the edges.

He has everything you like memorised once he realised your shyness is getting into the way of speaking to people.

His attitude is there, but softer, more gentle than how he aims it at others. You wouldn’t know until you compared his treatment to you and then his own friends, it is quite different.

He wouldn’t mind the teasing he is receiving from his circle of friends, as long as it doesn’t involve you so you wouldn’t be embarrassed, if it happened his sharp-tongue saves the day.

His tone is softer with you, it wouldn’t be above a gentle whisper that no one is allowed to hear but you, only ever you.

He’d be teasing you relentlessly for the sake of that familiar redness blossoming all across your face!

I kinda see Heizou with a more shy partner, he’d be so protective and teasing but would never take it too far.

He understands that sometimes you wouldn’t have the courage to speak up, so he does it instead of you, being the social butterfly that he is. Unlike Scara who is more cold and curt when speaking up to strangers instead of you, Hei would be more encouraging for you to speak out on your own.

With Heizou around you wouldn’t be left out at all, never!!

He’d melt everytime that you seek solace and comfort in him, he’d silently make a promise with himself to always be there for you.

Don’t let the gentle face fool you, he can be a tease too!

ꕺA fleeting embrace☽

Hello! Welcome to witness my first ever fanfic so I don’t recommend having high expectations for this fic😭

Warning(s): cringe.

Sagau. Abyss Prince Aether x reader.

Empty.

That was one of the many words that Aether could describe his mind as. It was empty, blank, quiet.

Yet as quiet as it is, it was equally loud. The sound of the fallen tormenting his mind and tearing at his heart. The cries of the people that had looked upon him as their Prince and Saviour. A person they’d follow through fire and ash just to secure their future among the nations that had devoted themselves to Gods while they remain devoting themselves to their own self. Their cries in a distance was still occupying his mind until lately.

When his sister had awoken from her long slumber, he had watched after her from a distance. Proud yet solemn. He wished to press his back against her own once more to fight alongside her, yet all he could do is watch from a distance as she was having the support of another sibling figure. Her awakening had brought peace to his mind, it left him wondering if it was his love for her or his concern. There she was on and about in this cruel world, meeting new people and creating new memories. He almost felt….envious, their journey had the same meaning yet had different paths. How truly unlucky he felt, and lonely upon that ruined Throne within the abyss.

Aside from all the observations and mixed feelings, there is also a persisting presence. A shadow, or an easily assumed ghost if he didn’t know any better. That presence, it left him wondering if it was the reason his mind is no longer a coin of quietness and loudness. It was just…..a static. It was there and sometimes it was not, it could not be predicted at all. Sometimes when he watches over his sister, he can easily notice the shift of her expression whenever he hears those little noises on the back of his mind. The happiness filling her expression rendered him confused, every time. Was ignoring it the wrong decision? Could he feel those little moments of happiness and share it with his sister from a distance?

He doesn’t know and thought he could never know.

For in his mind there is no time worth happiness when Khaenri'ah has become one with the ashes.

And yet, he wanted to be connected with his sister, even from a distance like this. While she walked around and had her own fun, he decided to take a rest on Stormterror’s Lair. He needed to understand why those around his sister could suddenly get strong, why Lumine is filled with happiness and always had a glint of respect in her eyes for those noises. He needed to understand everything.

“Hehe, oh wow….”

His eyes shot open at the sound of a voice, clearer now that he had taken his time to notice it instead of ignoring it as usual. Was this what Lumine heard on the daily? Was this what also her companions began to hear after meeting her and suddenly had an unusual glow and enthusiasm to them? Was this what he needed all along, but discarded it for the sake of his goal?

Ever since then Aether has decided to keep an ear out to this voice. It was as if it was beyond the stars, beyond the false sky, beyond them all. It was a second presence, everywhere and nowhere at once. Appearing and disappearing like the wind.

He was wary at first, of it and every emotion tinged with it. Yet as the time had passed it proved otherwise. It was no wonder that his dear sister had a glint of respect in her eyes for them. They were thoughtful, considerate, kind and appreciates every thing in existence within Teyvat. It was someone he believed himself unworthy of hearing, yet it was a selfish desire to wait for them everyday.

Hearing them, gazing upon their greatness, admiring them- it was all so selfish, wasn’t it? Yet he couldn’t stop no matter how much he tried. He didn’t want to strip himself off of this one good thing, and he believes his sister want to admire the owner of this voice as well. It was only right, that by the end of this journey, that he gets to hold them.

It was foolish, it was selfish and it was uncontrollable. Oh how he truly desires to get a glimpse upon their greatness, but now all he has is their voice guiding his sister.

The plans of the abyss has shifted slightly. It was only more work added on their shoulders. He must get to them before anyone, he has to. If the Archons had touched them before him they would be tainted and he refused to see even a scratch on them. It was a difficult mission, but it must be done. Yet now all he could do is listen to them speak to him now while his sister roam on and about.

“I’m gonna take care of your sister for you, Aether.”

His lips quirked up while he seated himself upon the cracked and ruined stone platform of Stormterror’s Lair. Oh how adorable, admirable, amazing and precious they are. Their words had only tugged at his heartstrings, how could he not desire their presence by his side after such words?

“Soon, dearest, soon we shall be together. Soon, I shall have you seated upon the Throne in the Abyss.”

Oh this is definitely cringe, alright. But I’m gonna leave it for whoever could like it. I would like some advices if anyone’s reading this! Thank you and have a good day💙

- Takes your opinions to heart. You express your dislike for a specific food or action? He quickly memorizes that and works around it

—- Especially w/ pet names. If you have a pet name you hate or if you don’t like pet names at all he just as quickly stops.

- LOVES to include you in his daily routines. Please don’t let him cook all by himself!!

- Occasionally worries you’ll also mysteriously disappear like his sister so he holds you closely at night. Cuddling up to you like you’ll fade away with the wind.
