If you're ever near Athlone, pay a visit to Sean's bar, the oldest pub in Ireland, established c.900AD. The ceilings are low, the lights are dim, the floor is uneven, and the walls are packed with memorabilia and history. The fireplace has been in use for 1100 years and is still. © Rare Irish Stuff
