as a teacher, i don't mind giving extensions at all, especially when the student communicates with me. just explain what's going on (keep it brief and to the point) and offer an alternative date/timeline/plan, then ask if that is possible. good luck!! <3

Hi! I'm one of the directors of the LLL movie and I just wanted to get back in touch with you about queer characters in the film. As a proud lesbian, this was definitely a priority for me as well, and we are choosing to portray Boyet as a openly gay teen. We think LGBTQ representation (especially for young people) is really important in film, so we're hoping our movie can fill a gap in media there as well. Can I say that my friend’s original piece is the best piece of experimental theatre I’ve seen? I mean, I’m biased, but—it meant a lot to me. I can’t remember the title of it off the top of my head…it was his senior indie (senior thesis of sorts) and it reflected beautifully on (his personal, but also general) mental health problems through transitional life events.

I used to take my coffee extra cream, but I don’t drink that any more. Tea, I don’t drink often enough to know.

I’m pretty proud of graduating from Smith on time. There were a lot of things along the way that might have prevented that from happening, but i made it work.

The whole Chamber Music experience felt like a gift you all gave to me. Thank you for that.
