I was right 2 years ago when I said time doesn't heal because it truly doesn't. What it does is allow you to learn new ways to cope, it allows you to figure out who is in your corner and who is not; it allows you a new 24 hours, everyday to choose how you will LITERALLY rebuild your life after experiencing the most heartbreaking, tragic, painful thing a parent can EVER experience. I was wrong about not being able to smile or be happy again...time has allowed that as well. I found happiness in letting go of a "9-5" and having complete control of my time to do as I please. I find happiness in my true passion, Real Estate. I find happiness in the inspiration and strength that other's constantly tell me I give them. I find happiness in cooking breakfast for my son, niece & nephew and being able to drop them off at school every morning. I find happiness in the beautiful memories that I shared with my baby girl...I find happiness in the simplest things. Please don't get it misunderstood though...it's a struggle to be "happy" living in a real life nightmare!! It comes with a plethora of emotions every single day...it's just how you choose to deal with them. The way I deal with them is to simply "allow" myself to go through any emotion that I'm feeling and know it's ok and figure out how to get through it whether that's talking to my therapist or family, taking medication, exercising, traveling, cursing, addressing the person/people who bring up the emotions, etc. To all my Mother's who are living this nightmare, keep pushin! We are some of the strongest individuals on this Earth! Enjoy your day and do something nice for yourself...I think I'm gonna treat myself to a pedicure...unless I have any takers 😎😉! That would make me REAL HAPPY!! LOLOLOL....
