Someone having just a read a fic they didn't like: *leaving a critique and explanation as to why they didn't like it to the author in the comments/bookmarks, publicly telling other people the fic is over rated and it's just a bad fic on posts about the fic, and trashing on people who enjoyed that fic*

Haven't been writing as much because depression hit hard with the anniversary of my sibling's passing. Officially, a year now, which is crazy. So that.
That along with anxiety then some bad family interactions. One of them right before I got really sick (still sick rn) so yeaahh.
I'm kinda feeling like I'm reaching the last bits of it (being sick sorta) and the depression seems to be kinda chilling a lil bit so hopefully I'll be back to my usual stuff. We shall see :p
I had a lot of fun watching it! I remember watching the playthrough of the game, and it was really cool to still see those elements that made it an interesting game still in the movie as Simon had to navigate the blood ocean.
Like there is still the coordinates ticking away as you try to find whatever is at those spots and the following course you have your directions heading with the indicators when you're coming too close to something. I thought it was amusing with how there were manuals and quite literally one binder only dedicated to once page where it was like 'this is the camera'. Lmao.
Then of course was Simon's kinda like 'the fuck do I do with this shit' but then you see him adapt and get quite good at navigating the ship despite being in this stressful as fuck situation.

Like him using the binder to keep going forward or backward. He uses the camera as a light source, the scissors as a makeshift screwdriver, and uses spit to activate the light on the vest. I just liked seeing him try to find solutions to these small problems .
Also, I liked his reactions. Like they are pretty normal in terms of how someone would react with the cursing and confusion. The way he said "fuck me"so many times was so relatable XD but he kept going!!
Then him making his own map for the unknown area he went in. I really enjoyed that part or the movie. Especially the back and forth shots of this pencil/marker and close-up shot of his hands on the controls. It was just cool to see, and I thought it really showcased his intelligence and adaptability as now he's really in the "unknown" making his own map.
Just really that whole sequence was one of my favorite parts.
Also I can say I was creeped out by the voices and the slow encroaching the blood ocean had onto the sub. Like slowly it became more and more entrenched in this congealed disgusting stuff and then the growing lines that just upped the wet and yucky factor. And we also see Simin's horror at it too when it started affecting his body.
Everything he got more into contact with the blood, the worse it became, and I only had sympathy because there is no way to escape it. Trying to remain unaffected is completely futile, and it's sad to see when this character so desperately WANTED TO LIVE.
Like ahhhh.
He's disfigured and still wants to live until he finally accepts or begrudges himself that he's not gonna make it (cause the arms off, the creature is right there, and the blood is everywhere and there's no way and even if there was. Most likely he still wouldn't survive). Almost saying it 'bigger than him' to CONVINCE himself of it because HE STILL WANTS TO LIVE-but he can't and he won't.
You also have a good portrayal of that thing trynna mess with him and then getting so angry and then desperate to stop Simon. All the voices and so on, the mizing of human voices and the combo of showing you what it really looked otuside as pictures kept getting taken.
Yall...I don't know who missed out on hearing this while they grew up, but obviously some people need to hear this shit and apply it in whatever Fandom they are in: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
So if you just saw a fanart or just read a fic and there was something you didn't like or maybe you just hated it, just don't say shit, okay. Don't say shit to the artist or author when the only thing you want to say is some mean shit or some critique (that they DID NOT ask for).
Like, what even is the point? Yeah, you don't like it. Yeah, you're entitled to your opinion. But you don't have to be a dick about it. Go complain to your friends about it. Don't go out of your way to write someone a fucking essay about how you didn't like XYZ they did in a work that they did for free and for fun for others.
That's like someone taking a slice of your pie and then saying it was too sweet or it had too much crust while they stand in front of sign infront of that pie that fucking says: Free Extra sweet pie with a thick crust :) Hope you enjoy!
Come on people, you didn't pay for this. It's being shared for free and you don't even know the person who made the thing and yet you're being a dick about it? Like do people think that's actually okay? What's wrong with you?
And again, YES you're entitled to your opinion. No one is denying that. But this isn't a fucking restaurant where you paid for 5 star service and should have a specific experience at, with delicious food that been meticulously planned out and cooked by professionals and so on. Fandom is (and yes we are going with the food metaphor cause don't yall remember 'holy shit two cakes') a potluck with all sorts of things with all sorts of people making them. Some for years and some who just started an hour ago.
You don't even know the person who made this art/fic and yet you're comfortable enough to tear it down or nitpick all these details? Have you no decency? Have you no respect? Have you no kindness?
There is so much out there for free that you can find and enjoy there's no need for you to essentially shit on the thing you found and didn't like. Curate your own experience and just press the back button and leave it be. Don't be an asshole.
Don't leave unsolicited advice. Don't ignore tags and ask 'why is [tag] in here, it's so stupid/annoying/weird'. Just don't. There's no reason.
On that note. Work on your reading comprehension. I feel some have forgotten what they learned about reading from class.
For real, some people have seem to have forgotten the different ways stories can be told. Not every story will or should be the same. Not everything will be clear-cut and spoon-fed to the reader. Not everything will be this grand epic with meticulous world building.
A story can be told in hundreds and thousands of words, and a story can be told in just a few paragraphs. Not everyone writes the same and should not be expected to.
Don't demand more. Don't always expect it. Especially when what the person has shared with you was stated to be something else you're demanding.
If you enjoy it, let them know if you'd like. Be kind. And if you're curious, maybe ask them questions about what inspired them. And yes. Maybe you can politely ask if they have any plans to expand on it and so on. But if it has been stated that this is it, stop pushing.
And reminder: there is someone behind the piece of art or writing that you enjoyed.
That is a real-life human being with feelings and thoughts and a whole life you know nothing about. Someone just like you yet completely different.
Why the fuck would you go out of your way to be an asshole to them? Why would you treat another person like that when they have been kind enough to share something they have made?
You don't fucking know them.
You don't know what is going on in their head. You don't know their health. You don't know their family or home life. You don't know about the things that cause them pain or stress and anxiety in life. You don't fucking know. So why the fuck are you gonna say shit to them when all they were doing was being kind to share something with you?
And maybe you could become friends with then and learn stuff about them. But being a dick sure as hell isn't the way to do that.
So try to remember being little and being told that 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.' And if you're hearing it for the first time, well now you know.

The Franken Core au a response to someone's prompt/au where the GIW messed with the core of a halfa and an eldritch horror was the result. And jazz runs away with EldritchThermos Danny.
Rude Interruptions a cult summons the ghost king when he was on a date. He is not amused.
Wrong ghost kid Sleep deprivations result in Danny supposedly scruffing Dani, who was threatening some ppl with a sword and calming him down. Except he def had the wrong kid.
Arkham Internship Jazz is the interning at Arkham and a unphased badass about it.

Uncle Connie Jack was disowned or cut off his family that were in the ghost/spirit field and somehow is related to John Constantine. It’s a surprise to find out that your somehow nephew is the ghost king.
Roofhopping Fenton Fam moved to Gotham and Danny decides that roof hopping is the best thing to do with the stress of it, even if he’s doing his best to avoid certain bat and bird-themed vigilantes.
Concussions and mistaken identities P.2 P.3 Danny is dragged somewhere by Jack while concussed and ends up mistaking Bruce as his dad. Bruce mistakes him for tim.
Summoning an overwhelmed teenager danny is stressed to the max and being summoned to deal with a ghost problem he didn’t even know about is the last straw, cue crying.
The Kid There is a kid that keeps fighting Joker like a rabid animal in Gotham. it’s always on sight. including in Arkham.
Clockwork's Chosen: Danny gives prophecies and answers questions he shouldn’t know the answer to. It’s a normal occurrence at Casper High, but after graduation, Gotham better prepare itself.

Feral clown senses activate Danny goes feral mode when a clown is near, even in the middle of a conversation. Sam and Tucker have a routine for when this happened, despite how everyone else is so so very confused (including vigilantes).

Cadmus Clones Somehow Ellie and Danny were frozen for study by Cadmus and then found by the JL who think they are clones.

Skeleton Key Tired danny used the skeleton key and ended up at Wayne manor
Put a gun to my head Immortal Danny living in Gotham got caught up as a hostage and shot in front of the bat. but low and behold, he’s not just gonna let that pass
Reaper’s Dance Danny does an ancient ghosty dance to ease the lost/forgotten/dammed souls in Gotham after being taken by the Wayne’s after his family died
Powerpoint Intervention Danny was taken by the JL under the assumption of being a clone of Tim, and when he finds out it was because they thought he was a clone, he decides to hold an intervention consisting of a very long powerpoint presentation.
Star the Clown Danny actually ended up liking clowns when dealing with his feelings about the freakshow incident, so much that he absolutely hated the Joker who gave clowns a bad name. and what better way to make him pay then be a clown who interferes with his plans.
You lied P.2 Danny finds out the Waynes are the bat and feels betrayed because now it feels like a lie (or so he thinks)
What came after the King Pariah Dark is still the Ghost King and can be summoned, but what is more concerning is the creature that follows.
Ripped from the core Danny was ripped from his core and in some small shadow eldritch form stuck in Gotham. Instead of trying his luck with the bats and birds, he decided to try it with a scaly guy underground.
Hit da bricks After years of captivity and essentially torture from the GIW Danny lets himself slip into a fake world to escape the pain, he wakes up in the body of R-13, a clone of the robins from Cadmus, and then makes his escape. Except it isn’t actually a dream but real. (I made three parts so far in response to Omni’s initial response to the prompt. they named the au and actually have their own branch of the story that you should def checkout!!)

It was something like, 30 minutes of studying, 20 minutes of yaoi🙂↕️. And like i wanna do that but with reading other people’s work and slowly beginning to try my own again.
I dont want to lose my reader and writer sparkle so im gonna try. But im really excited and nervous. But its gonna go great this semester! This is my first time doing grad school so im accepting that i will stumble and make a few mistakes. But i will learn and only get better from here on out. But wow can’t believe todays the day
