in these small hours
ungodly hour. Yeah, I know. It’s quite late. I just had to finish up a few things at home.
As I was about to go to sleep, I couldn’t. Not brushing my teeth and washing my face irks me and I cannot stand it. Even with the last ounce of energy left, I had to do my nightly regimen. This I did, so I went downstairs to go the washroom. While going down, I turned on all of the lights I could to lit every dark corners of the rooms. My imagination scares me. Now, I am brave enough to brush and wash.
Pea-sized toothpaste on the bristles,of my overworked-looking brush — this is what I was staring at as I step out of the bathroom. As I put the brush into my two front teeth (smiling widely as I do so), my unaware and blurry mind catches a glimpse of a small person (with a frowning face as if blinded by the bright lights) walking towards me. I got creeped out and screeched an “Homygaaaahd!!”. My brain knew it was Ate Juliet, our house helper. But for some reason, impulses told me to scream nevertheless! Haha! My heart still raced as if I did a 40-min P90X Cardio routine. @_@
Crazy. Phew! Even though my mind registered that it was Ate Juliet walking towards me, I got horrified. Horripilation* all over me! I figured maybe it was because of her sour-looking face — eyebrows meeting; nose crinkled; duck-pouted,face. I might sound terrible for saying such things but this is not the sight I'd like to behold at 3am in the morning. Hay.
This is the third time she scared me. T_T
And Ate Juliet is the one who gets mad after I get scared. It comes out as an offense to her I guess. I just cannot help but be scared at times because of her. She just creeps out of nowhere because of her silent footsteps. You will never know when she’s coming, or when she’s about to leave the room if you don’t pay attention close enough. @_@
