As a comeback og fan who didn’t care about ATLA shipping, just recently got dragged into it, and has spent the past 2 weeks reading over metas, i gotta say that…

Zutara’s story + Zutarian’s analysis are hella compelling. I. Am. Compelled! Kudos to the writers and fans involved. It’s such an inspiring framework for enemies-to-lovers subplot as a part of a greater narrative. The nuance, the humanity, the thematic harmony, I’m in awe with the potential! I had been sooo over that trope for years because the stories I’ve encountered all botched it with aaaangssst and idiocy, but this really makes me hopeful again.
