Hi! It’s Daisy. I am...beyond happy and proud to announce a new literary inspired webseries:
School Spirit: An Unlikely Webseries
School Spirit is an adaptation of Noel Coward’s wartime play Blithe Spirit: An Improbable Farce. It tells the story of Charlotte “Charley” Condomine, an amateur journalist and sophomore at Chestershire College, a women’s college in the American South. She begins vlogging with her uptight girlfriend Ruth to document research of the campus ghosts. After unsuccessfully trying to get proof of the paranormal on camera, they consult Miss Arcati, an eccentric medium. She conducts a seance, a seance that accidentally summons the ghost of Ellen, Charley’s ex girlfriend who died in May 2015.
Ellen is a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, very charming but very childish. She is visible and audible only to Charley, which causes tension between Charley and Ruth. This tension inevitably comes to head, but not before many hilarious situations. It’s a dark comedy about self discovery and acceptance, wlw cuteness, and puns. So many puns.
