Polish AKM and CZ P-01
Well at least I got to go shooting today! I was in a bit of a hurry so I fired off all my ammo in about 20 minutes. Feels good man.
The range is closed for weather so I can't go shoot today. The manager gave me a free pass for next time for the effort of coming out. I told him I really don't mind shooting in rain, but the main issue is that targets won't hold to the boards right now. Can't shoot indoor either because I only brought my AK (and a .22 of course) and all my ammo is bimetal jacketed. Disappointing day! Anyone who did shoot today: tell me how much fun you had so I can live through you.
Going shooting after work today! Every mag is a range mag. Even the Fleur.
Got a proper East German wire folding stock and magazine for the Atlantic DDR AK, thus making it more in the style of an MPi-KMS-72 now! It's had 240 rounds so far without issue. We'll see how it shoots with the wire stock.
The DDR AK with an East German sling, flip up night sights, and a Russian aluminum waffle mag. I took it to the range for the first time yesterday and ran a quick 120 rounds through it, which led to clouds of steam pouring out of the handguards. I forgot how fast AKs heat up, especially out in the Texas sun. I've always been wary of looping a sling directly through the handguard retainer, but it suffered no signs of damage.
