PLOT POINT
As a baby, Coop was abandoned in a Fire Nation raid on a Water Tribe. Though many in the tribe, suffering their own heartbreak and loss, thought it was only inviting trouble to keep him, an elderly Water Bender by the name of Elise fought to keep and raise him as her own, having lost her own children to the war. Coop was somewhat of an outcast among his peers, and without any Fire Benders around to train him he never fully understood how to wield his element. Now that the war has ended and nations are slowly breaking down the barriers between one element and another, he’s eager to hone his bending skills, though it’ll be hard leaving behind the woman who raised and fought for him.
