So yesterday Vivian and I went to Chicago Japan Festival. I entered the cosplay contest as Aloy and won 1st place! It came with the trophy and $300! I'm so happy this brings Viv and I a small step forward to being able to move to Washington. Everyone there was so supportive and friendly. I got so many lovely complements, it makes me just wanna forever cosplay Aloy. 😂 As well congratulations to all the other winners!

I'm curious if the EL panels you used make the low pitched whining sound that they usually make? I'm guessing you have them all separated so they all have separate battery packs, if the joint noise from all of them gets kinda loud or obnoxious. I'm definitely using this method for my paladin armor since wiring LEDs is expensive and time consuming.

Yeah, they all kinda whine. At first I thought it would be annoying, but you actually can’t hear it at all out in public. Conventions amd restaurants are a lot louder than you think lol

I fucking kid you not, our central air isnt working so I called our landlord to see about getting it checked out. Literally the first fucking thing the cunt said to me was, "really feel like you giys aren't happy living there, give me your notice once you find a new place" and obviously i was fucking appalled, and told her we're making do all I want is for you to have someone check it out. And as usual she said "well it costs *blank* amount just to have them turn the door knob". I said "uhhhm ok well thats not my problem, this is an electrical problem that you need to get fixed we literally can't do it ourselves." And she said the same thing and to find another place and started rambling as usual and I hung up on her cuz i just fucking cant. This slumlord cunt how has she not gotten her old ass sued yet?? Seriously does the world hate me? I just cant fucking win, im always gonna get fucked over. God damn fuck this.

Sorry for no new pictures, but I assure you guys that all my cosplays for this weekend are 100% complete and packed! YASSSSSSSS SUPER excited for this weekend! I kinda just wanted to let you guys know this is most likely my last year at Anime Milwaukee given that we want to try new cons, and we've kind of grown bored of Amke. It's still a great con but we wanna see new places :) So lets make this a fantastic weekend, and have hella fun times! We're heading to the hyatt tomorrow afternoon please come say hi if you see me, I love meeting you guys :> Alright, goodnight pals!

AMKE cosplay progress

So I've basically finished my Big Sister cosplay. Theres just a few little things that need to be done, like adding some velcro and straps and such. I'm pretty close to finishing Mulan, I almost gave up on Mulan because I didn't like how it was turning out. As I've been putting it together though its starting to look really cool, and trying it on it feels super comfy! I had styled three wigs for a friend recently whose going to Amke, and was asked to do another one... and somewhat... Regretfully said yes. Soooo that just makes things a little more stressful for me. But I'm trying to stay positive and not panic! I almost always do before cons. I am 99% positive I'll have everything done and packed Wednesday night! If not then I'm a filthy fuckin liar lol. Anyways, I will see you guys at Amke, I'll be there Thursday- Sunday.
