I know, I know, another white egret. What can I say? I am only able to shoot what’s around me and these guys are it! Still, it was a nice surprise when I got home to see just how I captured him! . . . . #livinghappilyevernow #exactlythesamebutdifferent #alittleofthisthatandtheother #atlonglastheard #atlonglastseen #anotherbeautifulday #morningwalk #whiteegret #whatcanisay #perfecttiming #timingiseverything #day222 #365dayphotoproject (at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0-t_pIgHuE/?igshid=1hpkqrsw2vtmd
American kestrel. At first I thought this was a stuffed bird. It moved very little, but it did move, so I knew it was real. “There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~Albert Einstein I hope you are living your life seeing everything as the miracle it is. Even feeling less than well gives me a chance to sit back and figure out what my next step will be. I am happy to say that I am getting close to knowing which direction to go in. The possibilities and opportunities are endless, which is amazing, and also makes it more challenging to narrow down. Lying in bed is a good time and place to work it out. . . . #livinghappilyevernow #iamhappilyevernow #atlonglastheard #atlonglastseen #exactlythesamebutdifferent #anotherbeautifulday #americankestrel #beautifulbird #southcarolinaaquarium #stillundertheweather #endlesspossibilities #endlessopportunities #day64 #365dayphotoproject (at South Carolina Aquarium) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuoObt0DoF9/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7kt0c5dnb5m1
Since I still have to wait until we are in our forever home to get any pets, I decided to adopt a flamingo! Her name is Martha. She is not nearly as big as she seems to be in this picture. I’d say she’s about 15” tall. She sits on my desk and brings a smile to my face whenever I glance over at her. Spent the entire day in bed yesterday, sleeping off and on, listening to a book on audible. Went to bed early though I did not sleep well. Too much tea! At least I did not cough all night long like I did the night before. My throat is very sore though. More hot tea with lemon and honey and simply resting is how I plan to spend my day. . . . #livinghappilyevernow #iamhappilyevernow #atlonglastheard #atlonglastseen #exactlythesamebutdifferent #anotherbeautifulday #undertheweather #nonsenseinmyhead #flamingo #resting #day63 #365dayphotoproject (at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/BulmtKlDlg4/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7m2xjtsgffcy
Another sea creature from the South Carolina Aquarium...a spiny lobster. Don’t think I’d like to come face to face with it in the ocean. Very cool to see up close though. Woke up this morning feeling a little not well. Jim has had some kind of a cold and it seems as though it has been passed on to me. Rats! I don’t like to use the ‘s’ word because I don’t like to think of myself as sick. Instead, I am not well or I have some nonsense in my head. So rest and lots of fluids are on the agenda for me for the next couple of days. 😷 . . . #livinghappilyevernow #iamhappilyevernow #atlonglastheard #atlonglastseen #exactlythesamebutdifferent #anotherbeautifulday #spinylobster #southcarolinaaquarium #seacreature #dayofrest #undertheweather #nonsenseinmyhead #day62 #365dayphotoproject (at Charleston, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/BujLqHWjRlF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1qqczj2rgust4
We went to the South Carolina Aquarium yesterday. What a cool place! Since there isn’t a zoo close, this will be our new ‘zoo,’ These jellyfish are so beautiful as they swim around. In the ocean, though, they are not quite so pretty. At least not if you get stung. I’ve been lucky that all the oceans and all the swimming I’ve done in those oceans I have never been stung. Here’s hoping that particular streak continues! . . . #livinghappilyevernow #iamhappilyevernow #atlonglastheard #atlonglastseen #exactlythesamebutdifferent #anotherbeautifulday #southcarolinaaquarium #jellyfish #lovetheocean #protecttheocean #funfriday #fridayfunday #day61 #365dayphotoproject (at South Carolina Aquarium) https://www.instagram.com/p/BugaCR_DWJd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=3lzlqcfp1rlt
I can’t say why but I love these fire hydrants. I see them everyday on my walks and they are all just a little different. With the exception of the first photo, none are one color, and are all in various states of fading, with another color showing through. The whole idea behind this 365 Day Photo Project is to be aware of my surroundings and to take pictures of whatever catches my eye. These hydrants definitely do that. If I’m not careful I may start naming them. 🙃 . . . #livinghappilyevernow #iamhappilyevernow #atlonglastheard #atlonglastseen #exactlythesamebutdifferent #anotherbeautifulday #firehyrants #red #fadingbeauty #beautyeverywhere #day60 #365dayphotoproject (at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/Budzd8-jDNM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=3b2emefs0a0n
I just love the look of a hanging basket in a tree. I used to do this when I lived in Coronado. Every week I’d go to the Farmer’s Market at the Ferry Landing and buy a beautiful basket of flowers. It would last for, oh, maybe 3 weeks, and then I’d somehow kill it. I kept buying them and they kept dying, so eventually I gave up. A similar thing happened in the house with other plants until I was down to just an aloe vera. That one, no matter what I did, I couldn’t kill. I used it for when I burned myself on the iron, which was a pretty regular occurrence. Once we get settled in our forever home, I am determined to bring in plants again. . . . #livinghappilyevernow #iamhappilyevernow #atlonglastheard #atlonglastseen #exactlythesamebutdifferent #anotherbeautifulday #hangingbasketsintrees #morningwalk #notsuchagreenthumb #plants #flowers #aloevera #ablackishthumb #pansies #day59 #365dayphotoproject (at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/BubSLfnDr1q/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ra1ri2kdgfws
