What kind of tablet do you use? I've been looking around for my first drawing tablet and have no idea where to start.
To be honest, I’m not sure I’m the right person to ask? I’ve only ever used 3 graphic tablet models in my life, with two of them being Wacom and one of a lesser known Asian brand, so I’m not sure how good my opinion on the right one to get and practice with is.
But, uh, I guess I’m pretty happy with my current Wacom Intuos? It needed some getting used to at first, but now I love how smoothly it reacts to the pen pressure, plus it wasn’t too expensive compared to some other models. I just checked, and it seems the model I’m using (Creative Pen & Touch CTH-480S-S) is no longer produced - but there seems to be a new model to replace it, which looks a bit different in design. Still seems to be similar enough though, and the price is also within the same range.
I also used to know a lot of artists who loved the old Bamboo pen tablet from Wacom several years ago, but I’m not sure if it’s still produced. Kinda seems like the Bamboo-series has become more of a smart-pad than the art tablet it used to be?
I guess Wacom is kind of the go-to brand for graphic tablets, also used by professionals - a lot of their models are pretty pricey, though, so I’m not sure how good that is if you just want to give it a try?
Maybe anyone among my mutuals/followers has experience with other models/brands that they can recommend?
