favorite song that’s completely unnecessary to the plot: Barcelona just kidding I don’t like Barcelona
weirdest/niche musical that you really like: klgvkldgkldf does you-know-what count?
favorite act 2 clambake: So I guess this is “Favorite song that’s completely unnecessary to the plot that happens at the opening of Act 2 and involves the full ensemble” because that’s soooo specific to old musicals...Farmer & Cowman I guess
@atouchofsass replied to your post “Would you be willing to talk about the whole KJ Apa fat shaming...”
I hate the weird archie show and this disgusting fatphobia but he is an actual teenager (not that that changes anything, just in response to your comment)
Is he? I actually went to IMDB to check, but couldn’t find his age. Wow, bad picture.
Hokay, retracted then.
:0 happy birthday wendy!!
Thank you, Sarah!! (Extra thanks for validating my old love of NDdP in the year 2021 :P) I can't believe we hadn't crossed paths until more recently but I'm so glad we did.
miles you have big flying type energy! and maybe fairy or ice
Ty! I could see all three of those. I’ve always loved fairy and flying types especially
What you see is solid family of entrepreneurs! I salute my sister, Jane Battle owner of A Touch of Sass Beauty Salon, (30 + years) My brother, Monzy Faulkner owner of All in His Hands Barber Shop (27* years) Aaliyah Faulkner, owner True Combo Beauty Bar (several years) and ME, Lisa Amosu, president and visionary of My Trendy Place (14.5 years) We had a great lunch but most importantly we talked about business, strategies and how to maintain, flourish and stay the course. Priceless time with the big wigs 😎💯. #godblessourbusiness #atouchofsass #allinhishandsbarbershop #truecombosalonbeautybar #mytrendyplace #wearefamily What God had blessed, no one can curse (at Pappas Restaurant Glen Burnie) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4KyHA3AITL/?igshid=35ivwhh49zxw

whoa, having les dix commandements but not romeo et juliette and mozart l'opera rock is... kind of wild
I know! Not sure what the rationale behind it all entails. Les Dix, Le Roi Soleil and Mozart! were just given mini entries at the back of the book under Other Musicals, and boy, was I shocked to find those and not RetJ or even MOR, considering it still has an active-ish fanbase and at least one out-of-France production. My guess is someone did a Wikipedia binge and just wrote down the popular ones. But then to miss RetJ’s numerous productions altogether? And count Les Dix, which literally NO ONE remembers now except for L’envie d’aimer (do people still remember L’envie d’aimer? It’s catchy, but it’s no Aimer, come on). Le Roi Soleil had more popularity, but it was mostly French-exclusive. None of those included even touched the U.S./U.K. (okay, apparently they did translate Les Dix into English in 2004. Have no idea how that happened or how good it did. I once found a 10 Commandments musical pro shot on YouTube but I could have sworn they did not use any of the original score. I could not even find L’envie d’aimer in any form. It was the weirdest thing.)
Add to the fact that they counted Disney films as musicals (which I absolutely refuse to do and people should be banned from ever calling them musicals in my personal opinion), and you get...weirdness. A beautifully photographed and still admirably comprehensive in including non-Broadway musicals as well, but still. Weirdness.
