Gelatin plate print making <3 I have a cleaner one in purple that I'll post at some point!
Theory time!
"Why do kids-or even some artists always draw/paint the sun in the corner?" My theory: We never really directly look at the sun unless it's a sunrise or sunset-even then.. It's either behind something (or us), or off to the side. So, as kids we draw the sun in the corner because we know it's there, just not directly in-front of our faces. Plus, it's kind of interesting to have something off on the side or corner instead of directly center, it draws focus elsewhere. But yeah, that's just my theory.
Mein gott, Danke for all the notes on the recent Medic picture! It really means a lot to me even though it isn't a big number, it is for me. Feel free to send in requests of who you want done next. Ja, it can still be Medic~ Right now I'm working on some more doodles. Have a nice rest of the night if I don't see you!
Ask me anything!
Artist
Since I'm on this topic.. I'll let you all know a secret. I don't go to an art school and you know what? I don't know a lot of terminology when it comes to art. I don't know a lot of artists. What I do know is that I worked from age 3 to get to the point I am at now (I didn't know it until I was in high school) and guess what? I'm still working at it. I'm still learning and teaching myself new things. If you can create something out of nothing, you are an artist. It's just up to you to be persistent and patient. It doesn't matter when you start.
So I realized, after I woke up from a dream; there is certain lighting that relaxes me, but also gives me a weird memory of remembering something-without being able to remember it. I'm not sure if I can describe it well enough, but the lighting is basically when the sun is shining brightly behind thick clouds. The clouds glow a weird beige/yellow/orange color. It's almost hazy out, despite whatever the season is. There are buildings present, but it's eerily quiet. In many dreams I'm alone for the most part. Running down a street, through a building, over rooftops..whatever situation. While that would bother most people in a dream- the colors, environment, and an eerie secludedness in a place that would normally have a ton of people... it relaxes me. It gives me a sense of remembrance-without a memory. It's weird.
Hey everyone that still follows me, I'm sorry I haven't posted any art at all for a year or more. I've been really busy with the AcceleRacers project and haven't done any of my own separate art due to using all of my inspiration for that instead D: I have some really old drawings (ranging from 1 to 3 years old) that I never posted. None of them are digital. I will be posting them and I hope you all enjoy it! I hope this motivates me to start working on my own things again. (I also will include a tutorial I did a few days ago!) Thanks for being patient with me :)
