everyone is sympathetic for Dale, but consider: this is a marketing campaign by 2winz^2. the song itself, which is recorded at different times, if the difference in everyone's setting is any indicator, is talking about Dale leaving. this means that his leaving was preplanning. if 2winz^2 is in as much financial trouble as the song indicates, one of the best ways to fix this trouble is a marketing campaign, especially one that would make enough controversy while still making the public like them. ergo, they "break-up" now, and then in an indeterminate amount of time, they get back together, ala left twix, right twix let's settle this marketing.
