essentially I was remarking on how my first instinct when I saw that Kaworu fanart was to, in my tags on that post, call him tazo, which means ‘boy’ in my grandfather’s northern Italian dialect (when I don’t know many northern Italian dialects or even much of my grandfather’s tbh xD) instead of ragazzo, which means ‘boy’ in standard Italian. Kaworu’s elegant politeness and the almost formal way he talks brings to mind a more stereotypically northern Italian air, to me, is I guess what I’m trying to say? I wondered if to play with how they’re similar but different, Shinji would be from the south, but southern Italian stereotypes don’t work as well with Shinji, so I thought maybe he could be from a more northern part of the south, like in the Rome area, idk xD
